Chartered Accountancy Intermediate Level Exam

Aspirants should complete 3 phases so as to become a Chartered Accountant. They are the Foundation, Intermediate and Final level. The ICAI conducts the Chartered Accountancy Intermediate level exam for the selection of eligible candidates in order to continue their education in CA. Those who clear the test will be eligible for the final course. The test is held two times a year. Aspirants can choose their nearby center so as to attend the exam as is conducted in many centers across India.

Structure and Pattern of the Chartered Accountancy Intermediate Level Exam

Aspirants should study the course curriculum thoroughly as part of preparation for the intermediate exam. The written test comprises of 8 subjects. It will be conducted in two stages of 4 papers each. Each paper carries 100 marks. In addition, the aspirants should also attend a computer practical exam, GD and Business Communication seminar so as to clear the course.

Qualification Criteria for the Chartered Accountancy Intermediate Level Exam

Applicants who have passed the 10+2 exam can do the Foundation course in CA. Those who have completed the foundation course in CA are eligible to apply for the Intermediate level exam. Otherwise, aspirants should have passed their bachelors’ degree. The percentage requirement for graduation (in commerce is 50%, without Mathematics 55% and for non-commerce with Mathematics 60%).

Application Procedure of the Chartered Accountancy Intermediate Level Exam

Those who have the required qualification can register for the program in ICAI. Applicants can procure the forms from any of the ICAI branches across the country. Duly filled in forms should be send to the official address of ICAI either by post or on hand. Aspirants should attach their eligibility certificates copy along with the forms. They can also procure the forms from the online modes.
