    Central Police Forces: Assistant Commandant Examination

    The Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) conducts a written examination for the selection of the Assistant Commandants of the Central Police Forces. The examination will be conducted according to certain rules and regulations published by Ministry of Home Affairs. The candidates who pass this examination will be included in the merit list and the available vacancies will be filled on the basis of the score secured in the exam.

    The date of the examination is decided by Ministry of Home Affairs and the exam is conducted in various test centers all over in India. The details of the exam will be published in the Employment Notice, Rozgar Samachar etc.

    Structure and Pattern of Central Police Forces Assistant Commandant Examination

    The selection of the candidate will be based on the written test conducted by UPSC. The candidates who clear this written test have to undergo a physical as well as a Medical Test. The final stage will be an interview. The candidates who clear all these sections have will be selected for Assistant Commandant. The written test consists of two papers. Paper 1 covers the questions from the topics General Ability and Intelligence, Current important National and International events, Indian Politics and Economy, History of India and Indian and World Geography. Paper 2 covers the topics of General Studies, Essay and English Comprehension.

    The exam will be conducted in two hours for each paper. For each paper the candidate have to attain a cut off mark. The selection is based on the written test and Interview conducted by UPSC.

    Qualification Criteria for Central Police Forces Assistant Commandant Examination

    The essential requirement for applying to this exam requires the candidate to have a graduate degree from any recognized University. The candidate should be an Indian Citizen and should be in the age limit of 20-25.The candidates should have all the Medical and Physical standards mentioned in the notification. Both male and female candidates are eligible for the post. The candidates who possess NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificate will get more preference at the time of the interview.

    Application Procedure of Central Police Forces Assistant Commandant Examination

    Candidates can apply for the exam in both online or offline method. The candidates who apply online can download the application form from the website www. upsconline.nic.in and send completely filled form before the due date. The candidates applying through the offline mode can buy the application form from the Designated Head Post Offices or from other Post Offices and use that form. The candidates who have any difficulty in getting the form have an option of contacting the concerned Post Master or UPSCs’ ‘Supply Monitoring Cell ‘for the availability of the form.
