Re: Career options after 12th standard (non-medical)

There are a lot of options available after 12th standard. It all depends on your strengths. The stream you choose should fascinate you and you should be able to attain the heights you desire. If you have chosen science field with biology in 12th standard then you can consider going in for B.Sc in any of the science subjects. Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics courses are also gaining importance today. If you have chosen Maths along with science then Engineering is one of the areas. If you are not interested in any of the engineering fields then consider going in to the field of Merchant Navy too. The minimum qualification required for this is 12th standard. If science is not an area you would like to pursue then you could go in for Arts or Commerce field. You also have the option to go into the field of interior designing, fashion designing etc.

Re: Career options after 12th standard (non-medical)

Students from science have lots of options to choose as a career. After +2 you can choose to do engineering in any of the streams. Candidates need to have maths in their +2 as to be eligible for engineering. There are also many degree courses available like biochemistry, biotechnology, microbiology, agricultural or dairy science etc. The major advantage of science students is that they can take up any of the streams as they like. Candidates interested in commerce or humanities can also take up any of the degree level courses after +2. There are also many vocational courses in Physiotherapy, computers, hotel management etc. You can take up management courses and later go for MBA if you like. Career choices after +2 are endless. Make sure to choose a career which is interesting to you.

Well if you are intrested in maths then go for a B.sc degree with maths as your major subject.
Because in BE also, maths will be in 1 st year's course. From 2 nd year you will be studying other subjects.

Re: Career options after 12th standard (non-medical)

    Hello Friends.

Career is an important issue in any one's life. A right career can develop one's life. Selecting an appropriate career depends mainly upon your likes & on the scope of the field you have chosen in today's era.

There are lots many fields after 12th std where a student can start his/her career.
If a students is interested in engineering then my suggestion for them will be they should go through the Polytechnic(3 years diploma). Any one who see the word diploma feels that its not a good field. But now polytechnic through diploma is the best suggestion. The reason behind this is the student gets habituate of the routine as well as he don't have to go through the CET examination. As CET is based on talent as well as luck. No chances of getting admission in engineering college but after polytechnic there are lots many chances for the same. Even the students gets jobs in good companies on the basis of just diploma i.e is polytechnic. They can then even do part time job & can continue with studies.

This is my suggestion for the students interested in engineering.

Else specially for girls & even for boys interior decoration, Animation courses, tally, fashion designing are all the courses which can help the students the most.
