    Hi Friend ,

Career options after 12th standard (non-medical)

What should I do after 12th standard? I’m not interested in medicine.

You can opt for Engineering degree programmes across different disciplines including aerospace, aeronautical agricultural, avionics, ceramic, chemical, civil, computer science & engineering, electrical, electronics and communication engineering, information technology, industrial, instrumentation, mechanical, mechatronics, materials and metallurgical, mining, ocean engineering, telecommunication or textile engineering, etc or Bachelor of Fashion Technology . These courses are open to students passing class XII with physics, chemistry, mathematics and English or you can say that non Medical Stream.

Marine Engineering and Nautical Science courses leading to careers in the merchant navy are for the same group of students, provided they fulfil the vision (eyesight) standards required by the Directorate General of Shipping (www.dgshipping.com).

Training for the Commercial Pilot Licence is open to students completing class XII with physics and maths who qualify the medical exam by a DGCA (www.dgca.nic.in) approved medical centre.

Unmarried male Indian citizens may join the Indian Navy or Indian Air Force after passing class XII with physics, chemistry and mathematics through the NDA Exam. These candidates may also opt for +2 Technical Entry into the Indian Army or the +2 (Technical) Cadet Entry Scheme (Permanent Commission) of the Indian Navy. Appointment as Special Class Railway Apprentices in Mechanical Department of Indian Railways is possible through the SCRA Exam by UPSC (www.upsc.gov.in) for students passing class XII with PCM.

    Good Luck!!!

Students from science have lots of options to choose as a career. After +2 you can choose to do engineering in any of the streams. Candidates need to have maths in their +2 as to be eligible for engineering. There are also many degree courses available like biochemistry, biotechnology, microbiology, agricultural or dairy science etc. The major advantage of science students is that they can take up any of the streams as they like. Candidates interested in commerce or humanities can also take up any of the degree level courses after +2. There are also many vocational courses in Physiotherapy, computers, hotel management etc. You can take up management courses and later go for MBA if you like. Career choices after +2 are endless. Re: Career options after 12th standard (non-medical)

    Hello Friend,

-->If you are of BiPC then its bit difficult to think apart from your medical field because you are already well taught with all the medical terms and all.

-->You will not have a good scope if you take some technical branches like Engineering.

-->You have to privately again do your inter regular course or polytechinc regular course(which is time taking)
or else you can also do some diploma courses

-->You can also opt for arts degree..

-->But i think it is not that good move to move apart from your stream

List of options for commerce stream:

-->You can complete graduation with plain B.com after 12th, then for post graduation they can go for M.com or MCA.

-->You can also opt for CA.It is a very good course, but they have to study hard for this demanding career.

-->Another good option is BBA(Bachelor of Business Administration), after that you can go for MBA.

-->You can also go for Law dgree, that is a very good option.

    -->Other options are:
    *B.B.M (Business Management),
*B.F.M. (Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Markets),
    *B.A.F. (Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & Finance),
*B.B.I. (Bachelor’s Degree in Banking and Insurance),
*B.M.M. (Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Media & Communication),
*B.Sc Animation (Bachelor’s Degree in Science - Animation),
    *B.Sc. IT ,
    *B.Sc. Computer Science,
    *CS (Company Secretary),
    *B.H.M (hotel management) etc.

-->One more thing is that if you are interested in civil service, then after completing graduation in any field you can opt for IAS.

    All the best............

Re: Career options after 12th standard (non-medical)

    Friend ,

According to me, as you have mentioned that you want to pursue your education after +12 and the course should be a no -medical one, you have many options , i.e multiple ways to choose, shape and design your own carrer

Here are some of the options for ypur carrer fields

    1. B.e,
    2. B.Tech
    3. B.com,
    4. B.a,
    5. B.ba

    etc.....

But according to my views and opinion rather a personal view.......you should be pursuing a field in B.Tech as it provides the maximum number of career options and a perfect platform to obtain good jobs according to the branch you have opted....

    wishing you great success
    with regards,
    Rohan Reddy
