Career opportunities in Government sector after B.Tech in Paint Technology

I completed B.Tech in Paint Technology in 2004. After that I am working as software professional in Infosys. I want to go for a government job now. So I have 3 questions:
    1) How can I pursue my career as lecturer, asst prof and professor in IT or computer science?
    2) Also in all the government jobs in IT, qualification in Computer science engineer is necessary. So is there any course through which I can overcome this problem also?
    3) If I do MBA what oppurtunities in Govt sector will I get?

Changing streams can be a difficult task. It is more possible in the private sector than in government establishments. The private sector is more flexible in this aspect. They do look at the qualification but priority is on whether you can perform well. For pursuing a teaching career you will need to appear for the UGC- NET exam. But most institutes will look out for candidates who have the required qualification. You can appear for various tests like the UPSC to enter the government sector. Another option is to pursue MBA. Thereafter you can apply for administrative posts. Normally for all programming related jobs the requirement is clearly mentioned as candidates should have IT or computer science background.

Re: Career opportunities in Government sector after B.Tech in Paint Technology

The employment prospects for this field are vast. A B.Tech in paint technology can find jobs in the paint manufacturing companies like Asian Paints, Shalimar Paints, Berger Paints, Nerolac etc. A graduate in this field will be posted in the production and manufacturing department, marketing etc as Technical Assistant or Technical Executive. In the government sector graduates can apply for PSC, SSC, UPSC, and even Civil Service. If one has M.Tech then there is job opportunity in the research and development department. MBA is another good choice, because with this degree one can enter into different field. In the government sector with MBA one can enter in to the administration and management posts.

To go for the lecturer post you have to clear the NET exam only then this is possible.

With you this degree this is not possible to come in IT field you can take admission in M.Tech or do some other computers field study.

If you will do MBA then you can’t get the job in software industry you will get job only in other field.
