After Bcom, MBA in finance is definitely a good choice. But you should be planning to attend a MBA program in a campus rather than a correspondence course. It is always better to have a management program in a campus as you can work in team projects and you can have better exposure to industry sessions and have direct interactions with the faculty members. After MBA finance you can target for jobs in banking, insurance, investment services and so on. Even you can try for jobs in corporate firms in the area of finance and accounting. Those who want to pursue a career in taxation and accounting can also look at CA and CFA as other higher education options. In MBA Finance you can have exposure to different areas in finance like accounting, economics, portfolio management, taxation, costing, management control system, financial analysis, foreign exchange and so on.

The chance looks good for MBAs in finance in future. The MBA holders from prominent business schools will get impressive jobs, even from campus placement. One way to guarantee a good career start in MBA finance is to work really hard on the entrance test preparation. If you have a good academic record so far then, it will add weight age to your application in these institutes. Also work experience in the related field like in finance, after graduation is an added point. The course will prepare you in a variety of career paths like in financial institutions, non-financial organizations, security and investment, and also to general management positions. The candidate is required to have excellent analytical and reasoning skills, quantitative aptitude, problem-solving and interpersonal skills etc. Also expertiseís in computers is a needed skill.

Re: Career Development - MBA finance after B.Com.

you can definitely go for Finance as MBA specialization as it highly deals with accountancy, financial transactions, loan schemes, etc. that you might have very well been equipped with in your B.Com studies. that is why you have the basic gist or essence of Finance. so this is an apt field of further studies for you. one has to choose one's specialization in the 2nd year of MBA, where one gets enough time to get the gist of all the available specializations, so that one can make up one's mind to comfortably choose the requisite specialization. as you said you are pursuing our final year of B.Com, you can start preparing for the various MBA entrances now, so that you can spare your one year that you may further need to invest for MBA entrances' preparation.

if you are interested in doing MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION then the best college to do it in India is the INDIAN INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT, if you are able to do an mba degree from here then there will be real value for you in the market an you will get really good companies hiring you ,but remember its not at all easy to do mba from IIM ,for that you have to clear first the CAT exam and that too with an very high grade and rank ,generally the IIMS take the best students only . It would be very help full if you start taking coaching of CAT from right now in some institute like the TIME institute which is the best for CAT coaching in the country

FINANCE : THIS FUNCTION IS CONCERNED WITH THE EFFICIENT USE OF THE BASIC RAW MATERIAL OF BUSINESS - MONEY
MBA'S IN THIS DISCIPLINE FACE COMPETITION FROM CA'S BUT THEY EARN A LOT MORE THAN MOST CA'S, THUS IN THE MEDIUM TERM AN EQUALLY BRIGHT MBA WOULD HAVE AN ADVANTAGE OVER HIS CA COLLEAGUE .
    ELIGIBILITY : GRADUATION
    DURATION : 2 YEARS

    ALL THE BEST

    Hi Dear,
Its good to know that you are very much clear about your upcoming career in future. Well, its very good that after the completion of B.Com ,you will do your MBA from Finance as a Specialization subject . And hence there is a very good career with the students holding MBA - Finance as qualification in the various MNCs as well as in the Banks also. You may able to get the job profile like Business or Research Analyst ,and many other profiles are there . So , complete your B.Com and then MBA -Finance ,and built up your career in finance field.
