Canara Bank conducts the PO test for the recruitment of eligible aspirants to fill in the vacancies arising within the bank. Aspirants who clear the written test and the interview can expect careers in the bank as Probationary Officers. The test is carried out in many test centers in India. Aspirants can choose their desired test center to appear for the exam. After entering into this career, Probationary Officers can expect emoluments of about Rs. 10000 – 18000/-. Structure and Pattern of the Canara Bank PO Test

The test pattern shall be of objective and explanatory type. There will be questions on arithmetic, logical reasoning and English language in the multiple-choice part. Other questions in the first part comprise banking, current affairs, and common awareness. A computer proficiency test will also be conducted as part of the exam. In the descriptive part, there will be three essay type questions. This includes synopsis writing, composition and a letter-writing question. In the objective test, there will be minus marking for incorrect answers.

The qualification criterion to apply for the Canara bank PO test is a pass in the Bachelors’ degree in any disciplines. Aspirants must have completed the program from a recognised University. In addition, they must have scored an aggregate of 60% marks in the eligibility exam. The percentage criterion is 55% for SC/ST and PWD aspirants. Aspirants must be aged 21 and above in order to apply for the examination and should come under the age limit of 30 years. Only natives of India are qualified to attend the test.
