Indian institute of technology joint admission test conducting exams who has the required eligibility.
to give the entrance for IIT JAM you must have to complete the b.sc degree and you may have
M.sc applied geology or joint m.sc_phd in geology,
M.sc applied geophysics(iitb).
M.sc applied statistics and informatics(iitb)or M.sc statistics(iitk)etc...
you need to compleate masters degree in these above fields and and in m.sc in the chemistry, physics,biotechnology,mathematics,etc.....
and also you need to get 55% of marks if you are general and 50% of marks in the OBC category.
proof of pass certificate must be admitted before to the exam. these are all the basic qualification required for the IIT JAM exam.
as you are completed zoology i am sorry to inform you that you are not eligible for the IIT JAM exam.

If you say that appearing in this exam just requires a batchlr degree with a certain %ge thn, even with a Bsc degree in zoology (i.e zoology hon.) you are called a batchlr degree holder , and so as per my knowledge one is eligible to appear for IIT-JAM Biotech after completing a degree of BSC(zoology hon.).
