Re: Can you tell me the required eligibility criteria to appear in IPS Exam? Is a graduate eligible to appear for IPS Exam or not?

Yes off course a graduate is eligible to appear for CSE(Civil services exams).
The reason being that the minimum qualification for appearing for this exam is to have a graduation degree with the minimum prescribed percentage
from a recognized university. There is no such minimum prescribed percentage but the only condition is that the candidate must be
qualified and he or she should have passed the graduation examination.

The procedure to become an IPS (Indian police services) officer or how to compete for civil services examination can be explained as follows:
    1)Preliminary exams-
This is an objective examination. The questions are asked from various subjects such general awareness, english, logical reasoning,
    mental ability, etc.

    2)Mains exams-
This is the intermediate level and you can appear for the same if you have cleared the first level.
This is a subjective examination for which you would be asked to select subjects subjects according to your choice.
Mostly students select subjects that they have already studied during graduation.

    3)Personal interview-
This is the third and the most crucial stage in the whole procedure. Even the desirable students are sometimes
removed at this stage. So, this stage needs special preparation.
