    Hey friend,

You cannot join in Civils with just being pursuing your respected 2nd Year of B.tech as you don't satisfy the Education qualification needed for the exam.

For joining Indian Civil Service posts you need to write the Indian Civil Service exam which is being conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) and this exam is held every year.

The Education qualification which is needed by the candidate in order to apply for the Civil Service exam is that the candidate must have completed a Degree from a recognized university with a fair percentage in any discipline to be eligible for the exam

Even Final year candidate is eligible for the exam but as you have told you are now only pursuing your 2nd year you are not eligible.

And there are certain other criteria's which are needed to be satisfied along with the Education qualification in order to be eligible fro applying for the exam and they include such as:

    # Nationality

    # Age limit

    # Physical Stanard(IPS)
