Re: Can a person get a job in bank if he opts for the non medical field?

Certainly non medical students can apply for the Bank jobs. Most of the banks conduct their own recruitment process. They conduct exams for various designations like clerical and Probationary officers. For clerical post the education qualification is plus-two with 60% marks. For the PO post it is 60% mark in graduation from the recognized university. Bank jobs not require any particular background. There is some age limits for the bank exams. For the clerical post the minimum age limit is 18 and maximum is 25 or 28. For the PO post the candidates not less than 21 years can apply. The applicants under 30 years of age are also eligible to take the test. There is a tight competition in the banking sector, so you should be well practiced for the exams.

There are two level in which one can join any banks. The first is after 12th standard appear for the clerical exam, the other is after graduation. None of the banks demand specific area of specialisation. So a non medical candidate can also apply. You must select a field in which you are most comfortable. Also you must consider what your career aspirations are. You can choose between B.Sc, Engineering, B.Com, BA etc if you would like to join at the officer level. You must start appearing for these exams when you reach the final year. So in advance start preparing for the General Awareness Section. Do read newspapers for this purpose.

yes definitely you can count on banking as your career prospect. candidates from any discipline can appear for banking exams. these exams are conducted on clerical and PO basis, which are hold when the banks announce vacancies. you can take up clerical exams after your +2 and PO ones after your bachelors in any field of study.
if you want to enrich your career avenues you can go for higher studies in finance or accounting, etc. or can also pursue MBA in finance from a leading B-school which will lend you a greater bank post.

Re: Can a person get a job in bank if he opts for the non medical field?

    hi

a person get a job in bank
Now a days there is good demand for the bank jobs. One can get a bank job in short period by good preparation as much as he can with in that short period and attempting in better manner.
You did not mention the qualification that you posses. With 10+2 as the qualification, you may eligible to apply for the clerical positions and that too if you secure a minimum of 60% of marks in your 10+2.
With graduation as the qualification, one can appear for the PO (Probationary officers) exam. For to be eligible for this exam, one must have to secure a minimum of 55% of marks at graduation level and a minimum of 60% of marks at 10+2 level.
If you make good planning of yourself to prepare the syllabus in time, you can prepare well and attempt well.
Give much focus to General awareness. Because this is the area which most of the people feels difficult to qualify in this area. Collect the various aspects of last 6 months relating to
    -National affairs
    -International affairs
    -Bilateral affairs
    -Persons in news
    -Sports
    -Awards.
For general English, allocate very less time as we can't expect the questions and we can only guess the pattern and be good with the grammatical aspects.
Instead of going through all the aspects of aptitude without practice, choose some of the important aspects of aptitude and solve variety of problems in those areas with good practice.

    good luck

    YES DEAR.............
OFCOURSE A NON MEDICAL STUDENT CAN APPLY FOR THE JOB IN BANKS:
AND BELOW ARE FUE TIPA WITH MY EXPIRIENCE..........

    * Don't worry about who is hiring at the moment. It's more important to find a solid bank that is geographically desirable.
    * Sales experience is a huge plus. Play up any sales experience you may have.
    * Be very polite but also professional-sounding and confident on the phone.
    * Dress up for the interview. This is important! Don't wear bank-teller looking clothes; break out your best suit!
    * Follow up the interview by mailing a thank-you letter (or card) to the person who interviewed you, no later than the next day.

yes, a person can get a job in bank if he opts for the non medical field

Basically the minimum qualification for this cadre is 10+2 or equivalent with 60% or a pass in a degree. Some banks accept three year diploma courses like you too. But we can expect in all.
Union bank which you have asked have not mentioned three year diploma in the eligibility.Either candidates with a degree or 10+2 only is accepted. That too an course in computers is required.

    Dear friend,
You can surely sit for banking exams, there are two ways to join bank ----
    1>As a clerk
    2>As a PO
    Criterion for Clerk--
    a>60% marks in 12th(5% less for SC/ST/OBC)
b>age limit is 19-23(5 years more for SC/ST 3 years more for OBC)
    criterion for PO
    a>60% marks in Graduation(5% less for SC/ST/OBC).
b>Age limit is 23-30(5 years more for SC/ST 3 years more for OBC).

So,you can take any option or both. All the best.
