It looks like you are quite sure that you havn't fared well in this exam. You seem to be confused in taking a career decision. At first you have mentioned that you would like to take the commerce stream and later mentioned that you would like to go in for diploma in civil engineering. Both these streams are different. You first need to decide what you would like to become i.e. what kind of job interests you. Doing a diploma in engineering would mean you will be studying for another 2years. Thereafter graduation will take another 3 years. Instead if you fail to clear the exam it would be better if you reappear for all the exams again. This time make sure that you prepare well. After that you can select your career path. If you wish to do some other course along with preparing for these exams you could go for computer related courses, if you are creative person by nature then you can go for fashion designing, interior designing courses.

Hmm, you sound right.
My family is into construction of buildings.
I was gonna do engineering but seeing how my exam has passed , I doubt I'll do any good in the C.E.T as I couldn't do any good in HSC exam itself.
Hence my only options were commerce/arts/diploma in civil.
But as you said , repeating the exams and clearing them with good marks seems better , as I mainly have to manage my fathers business later on.
As I clear the exams by october , I would even get time to sit with my Father, in his office and learn a few things.
Also I can decide what I should do after HSC , (Commerce/Science/Arts) in the 1 year I would be getting off.
Commerce seems better as it would help me later in life and I would also be able to pursue an MBA after it.
Well , I'll think more on it later and just concentrate on clearing the HSC currently.

bro,i'm completly like u.i also got 77%in 10th.and faer of 12th science.ya we can get admission in civil in deploma based on 10th,no matter it's 2009 result.my lots of friends r getting admission in deploma.and after completing deploma ,bro u can join 2nd year of degree,if u want.k.so relax.take care of urself.

Eligibility
A pass in Class X or its equivalent examination with 35% in each of the subjects with Science and Mathematics.
student must have studied English as one of the subjects in Class X
Non-Karnataka students should obtain Eligibility Certificate issued by the Department of Technical Education, Govt. of Karnataka
Karnataka students who have passed class X in ICSE or CBSE should obtain Eligibility Certificate issued by the Department of Technical Education, Government of Karnataka

Yes,of course you can get civil branch in diploma according to 10th marks. You are eligible to do diploma after passing out 10th class.And your 10th result is so good that you can get admission in Civil engineering in diploma So, don't get afraid and confused about your future. Take the decision very coolly.

After hsc you have many options to do many courses. They are btech,bba,bca,bcom,ba,bsc and many more. Your choice is diploma . It is a bad choice. It takes more time. Dont waste your time. You do any one arts course and then you do any one pg course like mba, mca, ca, msc and so on. Think well and decide. All the best.

no you cannot do civil engineering diploma after HSC
you can do civil engineering degree after HSC
you need to give entrance exam like AIEEE then take admisoin in BE
then you need to choose civil engineering stream.
