You are a non maths student so you are applicable for NDA and IPS exam both .

NDA Stands for National Defence Academy examination and NDA is conducted twice in a year by Union Public Service Commission .

If you have completed 12th standard from recognized board with science department you are applicable for NDA exam.Commerce and arts student are applicable for only Indian Army branch.

Final year student are applicable for NDA exam.

But your age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years.Only unmarried male candidate are applicable for NDA exam. You must have citizenship of India.

IPS exam is conducted by UPSC. There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam. This exam is conduct through Civil Service Exam .

Those candidate have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized university are eligible for IPS exam.

But your age should be in between 21-30years for general candidate.
In IPS exam their is provide age relaxation for OBC candidate is 3years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years.

The maximum attempts for Sc/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.

This NDA selections are conducted by the UPSC after the completion of the 12th class of study and the different NDA services which are available for the recruitment are..

The Non mathematic students are eligible for the NDA exam.

But in NDA only one wing non mathematics students eligible. That is Army wing.

And Navy and Air force wings candidate compulsory have Physics chemistry and mathematics subjects.

IPS exam is civil Service exam.

Re: Can a Non Maths student give NDA and IPS exams?

    My dear friend.

As your query is regarding NDA and IAS i am telling you the required information for a non maths student.

NDA stands for National Defense Academy.

It is Conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)

As far as NDA is concerned a Non-Maths student who has done science is eligible for Indian Army only.

The age limit for NDA is 16.5-19 years.

    Only Male candidates are eligible.

    Candidate should be unmarried.

    His nationality should be Indian.

    Now talking about IAS.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services.

It is the most prestigious Civil Service of India.

It is also conducted by the UPSC.

The main requirement for IAS is graduation.

It can be in any field.

Age limit is 21-30 for general, 21-33 for OBC and -35 for SC/ST.

Number of attempts for General-4, OBC-7 and SC/ST-No limit.

    Maths is not essential.

So candidate is eligible for both NDA as well as IAS.

Re: Can a Non Maths student give NDA and IPS exams?

Non Maths students are not eligible to apply for the NDA Air froce and Navy Examination because to apply for this examination , the candidate must have a compulsory completed their 12th examination with Physics and mathematics as subjects in their examination . If you are not studied any one of these subjects then you are not eligible to apply for NDA Air force , Navy examination but you have a chances to apply for the NDA Army examination . NDA Means National Defence Academy Examination and this examination is conducted by UPSC twice in a year .

    NDA Eligibility Criteria ::

Recruitment for Navy , Air force and Army examination .
Air force and Navy examination :: the candidate must have a possess 12th with Physics and mathematics as subjects .
Army examination :: the candidate must have a possess 12th with any discipline .
    Age limits :: 16.5 years and 19 years .

If you are belongs to non maths student then you are eligible to apply for army but not eligible to apply for the Air force and Navy examination .

Coming IPS Examination , there is no such restriction like NDA Examination they won't ask any particular subjects required to apply for the IPS Examination . If you are holding the degree course then you are eligible to apply for IPS Examination . So if you are completed graduate degree then you can apply for the IPS Examination .

Age limits :: 21 years and 30 years , Upper age limits is applicable .
