Re: Can a M.A or M.Sc student appear for the UGC NET exam?

As to appear for this test it is a must that the candidate should have completed the masters course. It is a must that it should be from a recognised institute. So sure a M.A or M.Sc student can apply for this test. The next exam is supposed to be in June but the last date for the submission was March end. The student can now try for the December exam. Incase the student is in the final year of the Masters course then they can apply. They will need to select the subject based on what they specialised in Masters course. The information on the syllabus of the subject is available in the UGC site. It would be advisable to start preparation at least one year in advance. Also they should keep some time for solving the papers of the previous year.

Re: Can a M.A or M.Sc student appear for the UGC NET exam?

Sure they can apply for the same. Only those who have Masters degree can apply. Also any candidate who have pursued a course from the list mentioned in the UGC site can apply for it. Both these courses are a part of the list. It is too late to appear for this June exam. But you can appear for the one in December. If you intend to appear for this test you must prepare right away. You can apply even when you are in the final year. You need to prepare in the area where you do the masters course. You can visit the official site for all the related information.
