    Can I write IAS exam or any other civil services exams after diploma?

    Respected sir/madam,
    My name is gowthami, I'm studying diploma in computer science.now I'm in final year,so I have lot of interest on IAS exams or any civil exams regards to our indian government.so please help me,if any opportunities are there mean send details to my email.

    No , Diploma candidate are not applicable for Civil Service Exam .

    The eligibility criteria for Civil Service exam is given below-

    Civil service exam conduct for recruiting the candidate of - IAS ,IPS and IRS department

    Educational Qualification for Civil Service Exam:-

    Those candidate have completed graduation degree from recognized university are applicable for Civil Service exam.

    • English language comprehension skills (Class X level)

    IAS(Indian Administrative Service) exam is conducted by UPSC in order to recruit top goverment offices. Eligbility to give IAS exam is as folows.
    1 Candidate must be Indian.
    2 Candidate must be graduate from recognised university.
    3 Age should be between 21 to 30year.

    Sorry to say but you can not apply for these exams after diploma.As diploma courses do not give you a graduation degree and IAS and civil exams requires a graduation degree in any discipline.
    If you have interest in civil services then you must go for it.
    After completing your diploma you can get lateral entry in 2nd year in B.tech computer sciences.After completing B.tech you will get a graduation degree and you can apply for IAS exams.
    Important information regarding civil services:
    1. You should have complete your graduation from a recognized university.
    2.Age limit:21-30 years for general.
    3.3 years age relaxation for OBC and 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST.
    4.No. of attempts for general-4, for OBC-7 and for SC/ST-no restriction.

    For Exams Like UPSC or other civil service exams the basic qualification is he should be graduate from any stream.
    IF a student has done diploma in any stream it is eligible to give exams like UPSC OR Civil service exams.
    but his age should not be more than 30+ in case of general candidate.

    hello friend

    Sorry to tell you that diploma completed candidates are eligile for writing IAS exam
    Atleast you must complete degree
    You can do degree in any stream, it may be B.Tech, B.Sc or commerce or arts
    The age limit for writing IAS exam is 21 - 30 years

    There are 2 papers in IAS written exam, they are
    Preliminary exam
    Mains exam

    You can write the Mains exam ony after passing Preliminary exam

    Well you can write IAS (Indian Administrative Service ) exam if and only if you complete any bachelor degree coarse.

    IAS is one of the civil service exam,there are many civil service exam conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission)


    The following are the eligible criteria for writting civil service exam

    + Nationality; Indian

    + Age limit: 21- 30 yrs (+5 yrs for ST/SC and +3 yrs for OBC)

    + Minimum Educational Qualification: Any bachelor degree from a recognised university

    +No of Attempts:

    General caste : 4
    OBC : 7
    SC/ST : No limit

    No a diploma students are not eligible for IAS exam, the educational qualification is graduation. This exam conducted by the UPSC once in a year.

    *Candidates should be have graduation Degree in any stream from recognized University.

    * No ,minimum percentage is required ,only pass graduation .

    * Age required :

    Minimum : 21 years

    Maximum : 30 years

    Age relaxation is given to OBC candidates and SC or ST candidates .

    For OBC: 3 years

    For SC or ST: 5 years

    *Candidates must have Citizenship of India.

    *Candidates must have physically fit.

    Dear friend sorry to say the Diploma candidate are not eligible for Civil Service Exam .

    The minimum education to apply Civil Services Exam is Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University.

    Civil Services Exam conducted by UPSC in once time in every year.

    Candidate must have completed Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University for apply this exam.

    Age should be between 21 years to 30 years for General category candidates.

    Age relaxation for OBC category candidates 3 years

    And SC/ST category candidates 5 years.


    Number of Attempts:-

    General category candidates - 4 time

    OBC category Candidates - 7 time

    SC/ST category candidates - No limit.


    Selection process:-

    Preliminary exam,

    Mains exam,

    Personal interview.

    So, friend first you completed Graduation degree after that you are eligible to apply Civil Services Exam.

    Since you are studying diploma you are not eligible for writing the civils for becoming an IAS officer because minimum educational qualification for writing the civils is graduation degree from recognized university but diploma is not treated as degree .So, am sorry to say you that you can't write the exam.

    Sorry you are not Eligible for Writing IAS exam after Diploma
    Diploma means 10+2, If you need to Write IAS you should Complete the Graduation.

    Eligibility for IAS :
    Any degree from recognized University with 50% SC/ST 45% marks
    Age limit is 21-30 years Upper age Relaxations are OBC 3 years, SC/ST 5 years and Physically Handicapped 10 years

    Because you have not done the degree yet.

    It requires minimum degree from recognized university.

    your age should be 21 to 30 years.

    After that you can go for the Civil service exam.

    Hello

    The educational qualification required for applying in IAS is
    1)Candidate must have completed graduation from any stream
    2)Candidate must have completed graduation from a recognized university by UGC(University Grants Commission) only.
    3)No percentage required,pass marks is necessary.
    4)Age limit-21 to 30 years-general category
    21-35 years for SC/ST.
    21 to 33 years for OBC
    21-40 years for physically challenged.

    Diploma is considered to be equivalent to intermediate,after you complete diploma you will have to go for three year B.TECH course,then only you become a graduate..Diploma is not graduation.

    IAS is a service to civilians,UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) conducts exam named as CSAT(Civil Service Applitude Test),the exam is conducted once in a year.
    The selection is three stage
    1)Preliminary Exam
    2)mains Exam
    3)Interview

    Each stage is achievable only after successfully passing preceding stage.

    The number of limits for applying in CSAT
    1)4 for general category
    2)7 for OBC
    3)Unlimited for SC/ST.

    The preliminary exam is a common objective type question paper same for all,after you clear preliminary exam,then in the mains exam you have various option of subjects to select.
    You will give mains exam in the selected subjects,the interview.

    you have diploma courses which are not the eligible criteria for IAS .yOU SHOULD HAVE GRADUATION IN ANY STREAM and from any recognised university in any subject.from diploma you can apply for graduate course in your particular stream.Yes you can start preparin for IAS from today which will save your time as well as you will become goal oriented .For getting more information plz visit IAS portal.

    It's nice te see you are very much interested in Civil Service.

    But i am sorry to say that diploma holder is not eligible for civil service exam conducted by UPSC.

    So if you wanted to join civil service then complete your graduation through lateral entry scheme and then apply for it. Best of luck..
