    hello friend...
you are studying 10th standard and you want to go for IAS coaching...your idea is good but this not the right time for THINKING of IAS coaching..because you have lot more to study before you take coaching for IAS exam....So first please complete your 10th and +2 after that you start thinking about IAS....
I am saying this because thinking about IAS at this age is good but you dont have that good knowledge about what exactly IAS is...so for that you should have atleast passed +2....So my advice is to finish your +2 and DEGREE in good branch and then start thinking for IAS exam and coaching for that....
you should be first good with your academics and then start thinkin over other things....
So read news papers daily and watch news know current affairs that leads to strengthen your GENERAL KNOWLEDGE....
after completing +2 you start preparing and give time for your competitive exams tooo....because IAS is so far first you have to crack any competitive exam before going for IAS...
THINK yourself and start working from now...all the best

Re: Can I take coaching for IAS exam after 10th?

    Hi friend

Its really very good to see your interest in IAS this early.

But really its not at all necessary to go to a coaching even after class 12.
Infact to be true and frank , many write IAS exams with coaching after finishing undergraduation .

But understand that coaching is different from preparation.

Infact preparation is which you can do from now even.

    COACHING :

Select a good coaching centre that provides a wholesome training like improving your skills not just mere chalk and board teaching.

SOme of the good coaching centres are:

    ** TIME Institute

** Vani Institute for IAS preparation

    **Gandhi study circle

    HOW TO PREPARE:

Learn a regional language other than Hindi and your mother toungue.
Also improve your thinking out of box skills as your knowledge in Interpersonal skills , Logical reasoning and analytical ability ,Decision making and problem solving , General mental ability ,Basic numeracy are tested.

Choose a UG degree like BA History or B Com Economics.
This is so because the preliminary exam tests your knowledge in Current events of national and international importance, History of India and Indian national movement , Indian and World Geography- physical, social, economic geography of India and the world Indian Polity and governance, etc.

Also develop your language skills as in mains an entire paper is dedicated to language. You shall be tested in Comprehension of given passages,Precis Writing , Usage and Vocabulary , Short Essay ,etc.
So better start reading newspapers which will help you develop your language as well as strengthen your current affairs.

    ELIGIBILITY:

    >>You must be aged between 21 and 30.

    >>You must have finished your graduation in any discipline.

Re: Can I take coaching for IAS exam after 10th?

No, but it would be not at all useful to take coaching for IAS(Indian Administrative services) examination
after just completing your 10th standard.Actually after completing your 10th standard, you would be required
to firstly complete your higher secondary and after that you have to complete your graduation, and only after
that you would be eligible to appear for Civil services exams. So,it would be of no use to prepare for
the exam at this stage and moreover you would not have enough time to do the same as you would be
already occupied with your regular studies. So, for the time being I would suggest you to just concentrate
    on your studies.

Re: Can I take coaching for IAS exam after 10th?

it would too early to start taking coaching just after class 10.
but as you really seems to be interested in civil services, you can have little advanced study over the all the topics which you are stuty at the present level in the subjects like:
    GEOGRAPHY
    ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE
    ECONOMICS
You should also start reading newspaper's editorial page daily
the above will be more than sufficient to make your path very smooothh for the success.
    good luck

Re: Can I take coaching for IAS exam after 10th?

    Hello friend !!

Seeking coaching for IAS after 10th is something like useless.

Because, you will appear for the IAS Entrance Examination after Graduation i.e min of after 5 years.

So if you take coaching immediately after 10th, then again there will be arising a situation of again taking coaching after Graduation.

    Disadvantages :

If you take coaching now itself, all the Syllabus of IAS will be very tough for you to face.

You may loose the interest in appearing for IAS by seeing the syllabus, because it looks heavy for a 10th standard student.

You need to spend much time in understanding the concepts.

Though u have learned after much efforts you need to start once again after 5 years.

    Things to be Considered :

As you are really interested, after 10th standard you just get into Intermediate.

Complete 10+2 with distinction then get into Graduation course in any discipline.

Then you can go for IAS Coaching.

Few Coaching Centers for IAS Examination :

    A.C. Vidyasagar Classes
    Akshardham the Competitive Exams Academy
    Baalnoi Academy
    Bolster Academea
    C.M.I.
    Cavalier India

Simultaneously have knowledge on the Current issues and affairs around you.
    Note :

Current events of national and international importance
History of India and Indian national movement
Indian and World Geography- physical, social, economic geography of India and the world
Indian Polity and governance – constitution, political system, panchayati raj, public policy, Rights issues, etc.
Economic and social development – sustainable development, poverty, inclusion, demographics, social sector initiatives etc.
General issues on environmental ecology, bio-diversity and climate change-that donot require subject specialization
    General science.

All these will cover the half of the syllabus of IAS .

    Good Luck !!

Re: Can I take coaching for IAS exam after 10th?

As your minimum educational qualification is 10 pass out ,thus if you will start preparation for IAS it will be good for you.
But for appearing in this exam, the minimum educational qualification should be Graduation pass out from any stream and your minimum age should be 21 years.

Thus you will also have to focus on your study.

From Now Onwards you should start preparations for the general sections.
The general sections will be :-
    >>Reasoning.
    >>Numerical Aptitude.
    >>English Grammer.
    >>General Knowledge.

Apart from these you will have to get good marks in your 10+2 as well as in Graduation.

My opinion is that you should start preparation for the optional and subjective sections after passing out your 10+2.
