Sorry you cannot join Indian Navy after 12th commerce by NDA, you need to have science. But you can definitely join Indian Army by qualifying in NDA.

The Reason behind is that you are not satisfying the needed education qualification for joining in Indian Navy

The way of you joining in Indian Navy is that you need to write the entrance exam,and there are various entrance exam which is conducted in India and they can be applied based on the qualification which you possess.

It is not that what you have completed is not enough,it is just that you have completed +2 in the possible needed Stream,as the candidate who wish to join in Indian Navy right after +2 must have completed with Physics and Mathematics as subjects in it with a fair percentage to be eligible as per the education standards needed.

If you are going to possess that then you would have hold up chances of writing the entrance exam which is the NDA exam in order to join in Indian Navy

But still you can join in Indian Navy as you just need to continue your studies and finish a degree and then apply for other entrance exams to join in Indian Navy

Candidate must have completed 10+2 exam of a recognized School or Board and studying in the final year of 12th examination may also eligible to apply for Army wings.

For Navy / Air force wings:-

Candidate must have completed 10+2 with PCM subjects from a recognized board.

There is no minimum marks required for NDA Examination .

Age limit:-

Age should be between 16.5 years to 19 years.

There is No age relaxation for reserved categories in this exam.

Only unmarried Male candidate are eligible to apply this exam.

Sorry to say that YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR INDIAN NAVY because you passed your 12th in commerce field. You must have Physics and Mathematics as a main subject in 12th in order to join Indian Navy.Commerce background students are only eligible for Indian Army.



There are 3 wings in Indian Defence. After 12th one can join any one of the three wings of Indian defence by giving NDA exam conducted by Union Public Service commission(UPSC).NDA stands for National Defence Academy. To write this exam you should have the following eligibility :

>>> You must be an Indian citizen.

>>>You must be an unmarried male candidate.

>>>Your age should be between 16.5-19 years.
NO UPPER AGE RELAXATION FOR RESERVE CATEGORY STUDENTS IN THIS EXAM.

>>>You should complete your 12th from a recognised in any stream for Indian Army and physics & mathematics as a main subject for Indian Navy/Airforce.
THERE IS NO PERCENTAGE OF MARKS BARRIER FOR THIS EXAM.

So if you eagerly wanted to join Indian Defence then apply for NDA exam and select Indian Army. Best of luck..
