    Yes you can apply for ias or ips exam after doing mechenical enginering in BE. This is a graduation course/degree and the educational qulafication which is required for becoming ias or ips exams is a graduation pass or final year student of graduation in stream. Your graduation should be from a government approved university. Your age should be between 21 and 30 years .

    Yes you can join civil services after completion of mechanical engineering.
    Detail about eligibility criteria is given below
    -> Graduation degree in any stream form any recognized university.
    -> Age limit : 21 years to 30 years
    -> Age relaxation : 5 years to SC/ST and 3 years to OBC candidates.
    -> No. of permissible attempts : 4 for general, 7 for OBC and no limit for SC and ST candidates.

    To join or to apply IAS or IPS exam one must complete graduation or he must be in final year of graduation..
    UPSC conducts examination one must qualify in that exam for joining IAS or IPS...
    the certificate of graduation must be of government authorized certificate...
    the age limit for applying IAS or IPS is 21-30 years....

    To become IAS/IPS Officer you need to apply for the UPSC Civil services examination, This examination was conducted by UPSC Every year and The examination was conducted into 2 stages - Preliminary examination and Main examination.

    dear friend,

    IPS and IAS exam is conducted by UPSC. There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS and IAS exam.

    Those candidate have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized university are eligible for IPS exam.

    But your age should be in between 21-30years for general candidate.

    In IPS and IAS exam their is provide age relaxation for OBC candiadte is 3years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years.

    The maximum attempts for Sc/ST candiadte is Unlimited. For OBC candiadte it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.
    Also you must be citizen of India.

    The IPS and IAS selection process is consist in three way

    1)Preliminay exam
    2)Main exam
    3)Interview.

    yes you can join in IPS/IAS after completing Mechanical Engineering and the eligibility criteria is:
    nationality:
    a person should be a citizen of india
    a person of Indian Origin who have migrated from other country with the intension of permanently settling in India are eligible
    age-limit:
    a person should not be less than 21 and not more than 30 years
    education qualifications:
    degree from any recognised University
    physical standards:
    candidate must be medically fit and no other special qualities are needed.

    1>You have to be a graduate from any recognized university by Govt. of India.

    Dear friend you can definitely join IAS and IPS services after compleating your degree
    course in Mechanical engineering. IAS stands for Indian Administration services and IPS
    stands for Indian Police services. These are higher end public services of the Indian
    goverment. The recruitment to these prestigious services is done through Civil services
    examination which is organised every year by Union Public service commission(UPSC).
    For you to appear in this exam you shall fulfill the age eligibility criterion of minimum
    21 years of age. The upper age limit is 30 years. The education eligibility is that you
    must be graduate or must hold a Bachelors degree from a recognised institute. As such
    you are eligible as possess a Bachelors degree in engineering. The first stage of civil
    services examination is a preliminary exam known as Civil services aptitude test(CSAT).
    If you are able to succeed in this , you are eligible for Mains followed by interview.
    You need to work really hard to fulfill you dream of becoming a IAS or IPS officer.

    If you want to become I.A.S officer then you have to pass the graduation in any stream you want from the recognized university.

    I.A.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.
    Eligibility criteria:-
    >pass the graduation from recognized university with minimum 50% marks.
    > Age limit:-
    For open category:-21-30year
    For OBC category :- 21-33year
    For ST/SC category:-21-37 year
    > Must be citizen of India.
