UPSC evry year conducts CDS examination.
CDS is conducted for Graduates candidates whose age is under the age 19 to 24 years.

CDS is conducted for Army ,Airforce ,Navy and OTA accademy .

Educational qualifiction :
for Army wings & OTA accamdy :
Graduation degree in any stream .

For Indian Airforce and Navy :
Graduation degree in B.Sc (PCM ) or Engineering degree.

UPSC conducts CDSE every year two times .

If you want to join Indian Navy then you can join it through an entrance exam i.e.NDA which stands for National Defense Academy.It is an entrance exam which is used to enter into the field of civil services.



As there are three types of civil services which are comes under NDA.NDA is conducted by UPSC and it is held as twice in a year.Those three types of civil services are as follows:

1.Indian Navy
2.Indian Air Force
3.Indian Military

You must be eligible for it.Your marks from 12th class should be more than 50% Non-Medical stream under some recognized university or board.Arts students are not eligible to join Indian Navy.

You must be an Indian and your eye sight should be correct i.e.6/6.Your age limit should lies between 16.5 to 19 years and you must be physically fit.Only unmarried males are eligible for it and girls are not eligible for it.



And if you qualify the NDA entrance exam then you will be called for the final interview and you will be admitted into the civil services for which you are eligible or which you want.

You can either go for Indian Army,Navy or Air Force but the thing is that Arts and commerce students are eligible only and only for Indian Army and are not eligible for Navy and Air Force.





But the science students are eligible for all the three civil services.Once you have been admitted into any of the civil service,then you will get a training regarding this and after that assign the duties to you according to your position.



But if you are the graduate then you can apply through CDS entrance exam.But you must be eligible for it.


CDS stands for Combined Defense Services and it is an entrance exam given after completion of graduation with more than 50% marks.

Check the eligibility criteria for both NDA and CDS entrance exam.Your age is not ok for NDA so you can apply through CDS entrance exam.
