BITS stands for Birla Institute of Technology and Science and it is a Computer based online test for Admission to Integrated First Degree Programmes of BITS Pilani Campuses in Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad.

The Notification of BITS Examination was already announced and it is availiable in the official website.

Important dates :
----------------

>> Deadline to apply for BITSAT : 15th February 2012
>> Test center allotment and announcement to candidates : 25th February 2012
>> Candidates to reserve Test dates : 29th Feb - 20th March 2012
>> Candidates to download the Hall tickets with instructions : 14th April - 30th April 2012
>> BITSAT Online tests : 10th May - 9th June 2012

To apply for this examination you have to complete your 12Th examination or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

You should have obtained a minimum of 75% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in 12th class examination, at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects and adequate proficiency in English.

Final year appearing candidates are also apply for BITSAT Examination.

Exam Pattern :

This exam will be of total 3 hour duration and the question will be asked from these subjects:

>> Part I : Physics
>> Part II : Chemistry
>> Part III : English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning
>> Part IV : Mathematics

There should be direct admission for Board Toppers fro Board candidates. But you should be the topper from the science stream having taken Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics subjects in 12th examination.

Hello friend,first of all congrats for your merit and yes you can have a direct admission in BITS,The conditions are that the student must have been from the science stream having physics,chemistry and mathematics as compulsory subjects in your 12th CBSE.

Take the test if you want to join BITS as the notifications are already announced and the applicayions can be made upto 15 febrauary for the online test which is to be held beteen 10 may to 9 june 2012.
The test is of 3 hours and covers the following topics
1Physics
2 chemistry
3 logical reasoning
4 Mathematics
5 English profieciency

My grandson is Delhi Zone topper from UAE scoring 98.2% 100 in physics, 99% in Maths and Comp.Science and 98% in Chemistry, with 95% in English. Can he get direct admission in BITS Pilani?
