No you are not eligible for the btech course. The minimum eligibility for btech course : you finished 12th or diploma with above 60%marks. So your marks will be less. Note that if you belong to sc or st means you have some chances to get a seat under government counseling. Best of luck.

Hii.friend.. you have a less percentage of marks .If you want to go for B.TECh you have to work very hard for that.Because in engineering you have to face a very high syllabus. being is engineering student my advice is if you go for any degree course it will be very useful for you .
And I think you wont get admission for 46% in b.tech.so ,you better go for degree only After degree you can get good pay and if you go for higher studies after degree there will be a good future for you .All the Best.

Look my friend according to me for engineering u must secure atleast 70% in 12th pcm so that there is no crisis for the minimum eligiblity..
But as u have secured quite low marks so i think u are not eligible for that unless and until u are from the schedule caste or tribe category..
According to the All India Council of Technology and Engineering it has made some regulations. Its that u have to get atleast 50% in 12th pcm for general category and 45% for SC/ST category to get into a good college approved and aided by AICTE. So just hope for the best. Good luck

according to the new revised rule of AICTE a candidate must score a minimum of50% in class 12th otherwise he will be not eligible.
Students belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes will have to secure 45 per cent marks instead of the existing 40 per cent.

    friend,

According to the rule of AICTE a candidates minimum aggregate in 10+2 class should be 50% and for the

reserved categories like SC/ST/OBC/PH there is a relaxation of 5% in marks so for them they should

have a minimum of 45% to apply for any engineering college or any engineering entrance exams. So

friend it is impossible for you to join any engineering college and you have to choose any other field.

    good luck.

In the old rule is that a students must secure minimum 50% in PCM for applying for Engineering,
but now government announced a new rule that now the students who have above 45% in PCM,
    They can apply for engineering.
You can get college if u applying in AIEEE or UPSEE.
But here you not mentioned that your 46% is in PCM or total percentage in 12th!
Because you have to secure minimum 45% in PCM...

    Hello dear,
Sorry to say that you would face problem while taking admission in B.Tech college approved by AICTE.If you belong to general category then its very difficult to say with this much percentage of marks but if you belong to SC/ST mostly ST students have more concession and better reservation so you can apply for the good institutions but you need to secure a better rank in the engineering entrance exam.
As you have neglected during your 12 standard so dont repeat it again. You still have a chance prepare well for the engineering entrance exam.Study well.work hard.stay focused to all the fundamental concepts which you have read in your 12th class.Stay determined, dedicated and devoted.Manage time well.
Then only you have some chance of getting admission in any top private institutions approved by AICTE or any other deemed university.
    Wish you good Luck.

My dear friend according to AICTE norms you should have 50% at least in your PCM, if you belong to general category.
In case of reserve category, you can apply if you have 45% in your PCM.
For direct admission 50% is mandatory. And if you take admission through counselling, then you will have to secure a good rank also so that you can take admission.
And if you belong to general category, sorry my friend you cant take admission in Engineering but you can take admission in other courses like-
    BBA
    BCA
So dnt worry and do your best.

In west Bengal this year after WBJEE results it was declared that students those who have completed 10+2 (PCM) with 45% of marks are able to get chance in B.Tech.
But with this kind of low marks this is not a good idea to get into a B.Tech Degree. Cause most of the companies asks you to have a 60% in your 10th, 10+2. so you will not find any good company during placements.
If you are really looking for a engineering course it will will be better for you get into Diploma then go for B.Tech. In this way your career will be safe and secured.
