    The eligibility for sitting for IAS exam is as follows:

    --> Age limit :

    You age should be in between 21-30 years as on 1.7.2011.

    --> Educational Qualifications :

    You should have any Bachelor’s degree from any recognised College/University with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification.

    --> No. of attempts :

    -> Four attempts for General candidates.
    -> Seven attempts for OBCs and
    -> no limit for SCs/STs.

    --> Fee :

    -> Rs. 100/- for General and OBCs.
    -> No fee for SCs/STs/Physically disabled.

    NOTE:

    --> Please once look at the above eligibility criteria and check yourself.

    Dear Aspirant,
    you are very much eligible for filling the application form of IAS exam.
    The Ias exam is conducted every year by union public service commission.
    The eligibility for becoming an Ias officer is a graduation/bachelor degree of 3 years in any stream from a reputed college.
    Age of the candidate must be between 21 and 30 years on first august of the year in which you fill the form.
    As you have a B.sc degree and this is a bachelor degree so you are very much eligible to fill the form.

    upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate belongs to SC/ST.
    upto a maximum of 3 years if the candidate belongs to Other Backward Classes(BC's)
    You must complete your Graduation Degree(No restriction in Min.Percent)

    Number of Attempts:
    If you belong to the “Open Category” you can give the exam 4 times maximum!
    If you belong to the “OBC” you can give the exam 7 times.
    If you belong to the “SC/ST” you can give the exam as many times as you want. There is no restriction on the number of times!

    YES sure you can apply for IAS exam because:-
    Educational Eligibility for IAS

    - Graduate in any discipline from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC)
    - You can appear for the Prelims even if the final year's result is awaited provided you produce it while filling the Mains form

    Yes, If you are Pursuing your Final Year B.sc Graduate degree course then you are eligible for UPSC Civil services examination to become IAS Officer.

    IAS Stands for Indian Administrative Service and to become IAS Officer, you have to cracked the UPSC Civil services examination and this examination is conducted by UPSC Comission every year in two phases : Preliminary and Mains. Preliminary examination are also called CSAT (Civil services aptitude test). If you cracked the Preliminary examination Only then you are eligible to apply for Main examination. Main examination are Descriptive and you have to choose the Optional subjects in Main examination on the basis of Graduation. The examination pattern of Preliminary Paper was already changed and Now there are 2 papers in this examination and Both are of same marks and Duration. So please apply for this examination Next year, If you are Pursuing your Final year degree course.

    If you cracked Both these written examination, then you are eligible for Final Interview and then you are eligible to Join IAS.

    Eligiblity Criteria :

    Yes. You can appear for civil services exam as you have completed your graduation in B.Sc.

    For IAS one has to go through civil services examination conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year.

    The selection procedure is as follows
    -CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test)
    -Civil Services Main Examination
    -Interview

    Here is the eligibility criteria for civil services exam.
    Academic Qualification :
    -One should have completed Graduation from a recognized university with any of the stream.
    -Even the candidates who are pursuing final year of Graduation are also eligible for the exam.

    Age criteria :
    -One should be in the age group of 21-30 years to be eligible for the exam

    yes dear being a graduate in the bachelors degree you can appear for the IAS exam, the main qualification for the IAS exam is bachelors degree with at least one of the subjects namely animal husbandry & veterinary science,geology,mathematics,physics, statistics and zoology or a bachelors degree in agriculture ,forestry or in engineering or an equivalent qualification.

    Hi ,

    Yes , You are eligible to apply IAS exam.

    The eligibility criteria for Civil services is:

    1)A candidate must be in the age of 21 to 30 years.The upper age limit is relaxable to 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates.

    2)A candidate must be a graduate from any recognized university.

    3)A candidate in the final year of graduation can also apply for the Civil services.

    4)Number of attempts:
    4 for general category students
    7 for OBC students
    No limit for SC/ST students

    5)A candidate must be an INDIAN citizen.

    You will get the application forms from Post offices of the country in 100 Rs if you wanted to fill the form offline.

    The cost of application form is free for SC/ST and reserved categories provided they have to show the required certificates.

    You can also fill the form online from the website called www.upsconline.com and it will cost you 50 Rs for filling the form online.

    The notification for the next year exam will come out in the month of februrary and this year's civil services exam is over you can only apply for the next one.So just wait for the notification and keep on preparing.

    Age limit - 21 to 30 years on 01/07/2011.

    Education require - bechelor degree in any descipline with at least one subject out of zoology,bonaty,physics,chemistry,mathematics,stati stic,geology,engineering degree or bachelor degree in forestry or in agriculture.

    Maximum 4 attemps for open category.7 attemps for OBC.No limit for SC/ST

    Yes.you are eligible to apply for IAS after B.sc.

    You have mentioned that you are pursuing your graduation from science back ground and you are a B.Sc graduate and you are also an aspirant for Civil services examination .
    Yes off course as you have completed your graduation you are eligible to appear for civil services examination.
    If you cleared this examination you would be offered a post of IAS, IES, IPS, IRS, etc cording to the marks obtained by you in this examination.
    Civil services examinations are one of the greatest examination conducted in our country, and their are many students who every year
    prepare for the same.You should join a good coaching institute for the purpose of getting good marks in this examination.
    This exam is divided into a three step procedure which is as follows:
    1)Preliminary examinations.
