    yes you can apply for IAS while you are in the final year of B.TECH.

    IAS EXAM is conducted by UPSC .


    IAS exam eligibility:
    1.bechlor's degree from any recognized university.

    OBS: 7.

    Yes,you can apply for Civil Service exam,if your age is also between 21 to 30 years to become a IAS officer.Civil Service exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year once to take qualified students into different service post in government sector.

    Civil Service exam is consist of Preliminary exam and Main exam.Preliminary exam notification release in the month of February and exam will held on May moth every year and Main exam will held on September every year.

    Notification details for this year:
    Preliminary exam notification released on 11th Feb 2012,closes on 5th March 2012 and exam will held on 20th May 2012.
    After clearing the Preliminary exam,you will eligible for Main exam.
    Main exam will held on 16th Sept 2012.

    NO. You did not fulfill the eligibility criteria of the IAS since it clearly says that only bachelor degree holders can apply!! after you become a graduate, then only you can apply
    Age limit for the exam: 21-30 years
    Number of times you can apply: Four (Seven attempts of OBCs and no limit for SCs /STs
    Educational Qualification: Bachelorís degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification!

    No, you can't fill the application form of IAS Exam during the Graduation. Because IAS Exam eligibility is Graduation.

    So do not hesitate do your graduation with concentration and after Graduation you will be eligible for the IAS Exam.

    So do hard work in your last semester after graduation apply for that post.

    Yes you can fill the forms of IAS while pursuing final year B.Tech.

    But IAS needs lots of preparation. so you should prepare for it.

    The direct recruitment of a candidate into IAS is by Civil Service Exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission.

    yes u can... but i advise u to do the same keeping in mind that
    no. of attempts for general=4
    and that of obc is 10
    no. of attempts for sc is upto 35 years
    last date=5 march
    application fee for general/obc=rs 50
    application fee for sc/women/PH=rs 0

    Absolutely you are eligible for applying for IAS Exam.But you need to complete your course before you attend for the interview after selecting in written exam.

    Hi dude,

    Yes dude you can apply for IAS exam while in the final year of your Graduation(b.tech).

    IAS is a service provided and included in the civil services .

    To become a IAS officer you need to apply for the civil service exam conducted by UPSC.

    You need to be Graduate to apply for civil service exams.

    You can also apply if you are in the final year of your Graduation .

    As you are a final year student of B.tech you can also apply.

    Civil service exam is conducted in 2 stages :-preliminary and mains.

    Preliminary is the first stage of civil service exam after clearing that only you can appear for mains exam.

    If you score good marks in preliminary and Mains you will be posted according to your score.

    If your score satisfy the IAS post then you will be awarded IAS post.

    IAS is one among the posts there are many other posts like IPS,IFS etc...

    Getting IAS post is not so easy you need to work hard and be well prepared to get that post .

    Its better if you go for coaching to crack IAS exam.

    There will be a tuff competition for Civil service exams.

    For writing the IAS exam there are some eligibility criteria on the basis of educational qualification, age and citizenship.
    More details about the eligibility criteria for IAS exam 2012 are given below.

    Educational qualification: Candidate must be graduate in any stream under University Grants Commission (UGC)

    Citizenship: candidate must be Indian

    Age limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years for general category, for OBC it will be minimum 21 and maximum 33 years

    Civil Services Examination is the most prestigious examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to various All India Services including I.A.S., I.P.S.,I.F.S.,I.R.S., and various Group A Services and Group B Services.

    Normally applications are invited by UPSC notifications in leading News Papers during December every year.

    The Civil Services Examination consists of three stages :

    Yes, Final year student are applicable for IAS exam.

    IAS exam is conducted by UPSC in once time in year through Civil Service Exam.So you must attend in CSAT exam.

    Those candidate have completed graduation degree or final year of graduation degree from recognized board are applicable for IAS exam.

    But your age should be in between 22 to 30 years old.Age relaxation is provide only for SC/ST/OBC category as per govt rule.

    The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited. for OBC candidate it is 7 times and for general candidate it is 5 times.

    Yes off course you can fill the application form of IAS(Indian Administrative services) examination or CSE(Civil services examination)
    even while pursuing your final year of B.Tech(Bachelors of technology) course.But you would be able to to appear for the examination
    only when you have completed your graduation because the minimum qualification that is required in order to appear for CSE(Civil services
    exam) is that the individual must have completed his or her graduation r an equivalent course from a recognized college or university.

    You have to get through the civil service exam conducted by UPSC every year..
    The minimum qualifications required
    ->YOU MUST HAVE COMPLETED YOUR GRADUATION WITH 55% OR PURSUING FINAL YEAR OF
    GRADUATION..
    ->YOU MUST BE IN AGE LIMIT OF 21-30

    ELIGIBILITY
    you have to complete your degree from any recognized university incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in india or other educational institutions established by an act of parliament or it may be declared as deemed university under the act of ugc act 1956.
    age limit
    you must have 21 years of age and your age must not be above 30 years on august 1 of the year of examination.
    age relaxation
    • you have 5 years of age relaxation if you are belong to the SC/ST,
    • you have 3 years of age relaxation if you are belong to the other backward classes,
    • you have 5 years of age relaxation if you are domiciled in JAMMU Kashmir during the period between January,1,1980 and December 31,1989.

    yeah sure you can apply for IAS prelims exam being final year b.tech student
    >>IAS is a civil service exam conducted by UPSC board
    1. The age limit for civil service exam is 21-30 years, relaxation for 3years for obc, relaxation for 5years is given for sc/st's
    2. the no.of chances for filling the form is general category-4, obc-7 and no limit for sc/st
    3. candidates must complete graduation from recognized board in India.
    4. candidate must be a citize of india

    i am very happy to inform you that answer to your question is yes while studying the final year of engineering the IAS prelims can be given
    the IAS demands the following eligibilty criteria from the students:-
    1.must be above 21 years of age.
    2.citizen of india.
    3.must be having bachelors degree.
    and after that a candidate has to undergo three exams:-
    1.prelims.
    2.mains.
    3.interveiw.
    so you seem to be clearing all the criteria for IAS exams so you can sit in prelims round of IAS.

    OBC-7 attempts
    PHD-10years
    Ex-Servicemen-5years
    and for generals: only 4 attempts can be made..

    Exam Pattern is like :

    The Exam consists of two papers
    Paper 1-200 marks-2 hours.

    Yeah you are eligible for applying for the IAS(Indian Administrative Service) and this is one of the Indian Civil Service and this exam is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) and this exam is held every year.

    My dear friend,
    you are a final year b.tech student so you are eligible for IAS exam if your age is between 21-30years and you can complete your degree by July of the exam year.

    Another important thing is you should not have any current backlog.

    So prepare yourself for the exam if you fulfill the above mention criteria.
