    HI
no you cant give CAT exam directly 12th. CAT is for MBA and its a Post graduate Degree. You require to have graduated degree with minimum 50% marks in order to appear for CAT. Choose the best graduation course based on your interest and try to excel in that as IIM final selection has some marks allocated to graduation marks.

Well you can't write CAT exam just after completing 12th.

CAT stands for Common Admission Test.It is jointly conducted by IIM (India Institute of Management) for selecting the candidate for MBA (Master of Business Administration).

Hence first you have to complete any bachelor degree after that only you are eligible for writing CAT exam.

This exam is conducted at national level hence there will be heavy competition will be there.

If you score good marks in this exam you can do MBA in top IIMs.

You can prepare on your own or else you can join any CAT coaching classes which are available all over India.

Re: Can I directly give CAT exams after 12th?

    Hi Friend...

You can not appear for the CAT recruitment during your 12th class or after your 12th as this is the entrance examination for the masters degree course of study that is the MBA course of study you can not directly appear for the recruitment after 12th you need to complete the bachelors degree or the graduation course of study and then appear for the CAT examinations...

This CAT recruitment is conducted for the candidates only after graduation or during graduation finale year course of study and the CAT is the examination for entry in to the B-schools for the MBA Masters of Business Administration course of study.

The CAT examination is done once a year and the general syllabus included for the CAT examination are...
    *Logical reasoning
    *Quantitative aptitude
    *Verbal ability
These are the main syllabus included for the CAT recruitment and this recruitment is done after graduation or the bachelors degree course of study...

There are also other MBA entrance examinations other then the CAT and for anything you need to complete the graduation course of study...

Re: Can I directly give CAT exams after 12th?

    Dear Friend,

I am sorry to say but you cannot write CAT or any other MBA Entrance Examinations immediately after 12th. MBA stands for Master of Business Administration i.e. it is a Masters course and hence you need to be at least graduate to be eligible to write these examinations. You can do your graduation from any stream but make sure you get good marks to get the interview call from good reputed colleges. Although, for most of these examinations the minimum marks required is only 50% but that does reflect the true picture.

    All the best.
    Thank you.

Re: Can I directly give CAT exams after 12th?

    Well,
Dear, you are going a bit fast. If you want to go for CAT examinations, that means you are wanting to go for MBA course. but let me tell you that MBA will not be available to you unless you complete your graduation. According to the norms, if you want to go for MBA, you can apply as early as from yoru last year of graduation. but after you clear the MBA entrance examination, you have to complete your graduation and pass it with minimum 50% aggregate marks. If it so happens that you clear your CAT or MAT but you do not have 50% or more marks in your graduation or you do not pass your graduation, then you cannot apply for MBA that year. But one good thing is that the CAT score or the MAT score is valid for around 2 years. ignou openmat score is valid for 10 years. So you don't loose directly on chances of getting into MBA. so first enroll into any graduation course. Then study hard to get good marks and if you are confident enough for your graduation score, then in your final year go for any MBA common entrance test.
