Re: Can I directly apply for IPCC in Nov 2012 after completing my BBA with 60%?

The IPCC stands for -- Integrated Professional Competency Course , is a challenging profession that offers practice or job opportunities in the areas of accounting, auditing, corporate finance, project evaluation, and company and other business laws, taxation and corporate governance .

The Central Council has approved the new announcement of allowing a Graduate student (B.com, B.Sc., BBA,etc) to directly join the IPCC course without writing CA-CPT Exam.

The council announced that the eligibility criteria for the graduates to write IPCC directly is as under:
In case of a Commerce Graduate – 55%
    In case of a Non-Commerce Graduate – 60%

This announcement was made by G Ramaswamy, The President of the ICAI in his interview to the “The Hindu” .

So as per this Rule , you can directly apply for IPCC which will be carried out in Nov 2012 .

And ICAI has announced in its official Notification released on 15th July 2011 , that the November 2011 Exams will start from 1st November to 17th November.

    Good Luck !!

Re: Can I directly apply for IPCC in Nov 2012 after completing my BBA with 60%?

Initially even a graduate students have to appear for the CPT exam to become CA that is chartered accountant .CPT is Common Proficiency test usually known as CPT or CPC is an Entry Level Course in Chartered Accountancy Course. So if you were interested to become a CA as their Profession then you will have to pass through this level.

But now the CENTRAL COUNCIL has announced that now a graduates and post graduates students can directly apply for the IPCC level without appearing for the CPT exam.IPCC is final stage for the students who wants to become a CA.

The following graudates and post graduates students are exempted from taking the CPT exam ::

Students who have completed their graduation in commerce streams and have studied any 3 full papers of 100 marks each out of::

    Accounting,
    Auditing,
    Mercantile Laws,
    Corporate Laws,
    Economics,
    Management including Financial Management,
Taxation including Direct Tax Laws, Indirect Tax Laws etc.,
    Costing,
    Business Administration,
    Management Accounting

And have Passed the graduate/post-graduate examination by securing in the aggregate a Minimum of 55% of the Total marks or its equivalent grade from any recognized Universities including Open Universities.

    2. Graduates/ Post Graduates who have completed their graduation in different streams have secured aggregate of 60% of the total marks in the examination or its equivalent grade from any Recognized Universities including Open Universities.

Note: If you are in final year then students are eligible for Provisional Registration and are eligible to Write IPCC exam ONLY after Appearing for Final year Graduation Exam.

Re: Can I directly apply for IPCC in Nov 2012 after completing my BBA with 60%?

Actually there is a discussion going on in this direction. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has not yet come out
with this provision.According to this provision, the students who have completed their graduation from recognized university
from any discipline can directly appear for IPCC(Integrated professional competence course) and would not be required to
appear for CPT(Common proficiency test). So, you need to wait for some time and after that it is likely that this provision
    would definitely come out.
    The Chartered Accountancy course is basically conducted in three stages which can be mentioned as follows;
    1)CPT(Common proficiency test)
    2)IPCC(Integrated professional competence course)
    3)CA Final
But before appearing for the last stage, you would be required to undergo three years of article ship training
under a chartered accountant practicing in India.

Re: Can I directly apply for IPCC in Nov 2012 after completing my BBA with 60%?

Yes you are eligible for direct admission to IPCC with completion of 60 % in BBA.

Any graduates of Arts ,science ,Commerce all are eligibile to apply for CA course.

CA course has three stages : CPT
    IPCC
and Articleship training + Final course.

For direct admission to IPCC you must have completd graduation from a recognized university with the following percentage :
    commerce graduate with 50 %
    non mathematics graduates 55 %
and for Mathematics graduates 60 %.

So you are eligibile for IPCC Direct Admission .

    Thanks
