Re: Can I directly appear for CPT(Common Proficiency Test) after completing B.Com with 71% and M.Com with 42%?

    Hi Friend,

Yes dude it is possible for joining CPT after B.Com .

In order to become a CA person ICAI ( Institute of Chartered Accountancy of India ) set some standards to regulate the CA study and persons in India. There are 3 rounds of CA course

    1. CPT
    2. IPCC
    3. Final Course

Dude you can register for CA CPT and IPCC course through out the year and make sure that you have registered atleast 10 months before the examination. You can register through any of the CA centers by obtaining the application form or you can register Online by downloading the application form from the link www.icai.org

    Eligibility : for IPCC

    Educational Qualification :

you must have completed your 10+2 with CPT course training or you must have completed any equivalent course and CPT course training.

    Age Criteria :

Dude there is no age relaxation and you can apply for CA IPCC course any number of times.

At the same time while your are applying you also register for 100 hours of computer training program , so that you can go for 18 months of IPCC course and enter into Final course.

Dude the total duration to complete your CA course is 5 1/2 years consists of Education and Practical training so that you can apply for Articled Clerks post , Dude CA person is needed by every company to maintain the company's Economic background. So there is a need for CA person and i suggest that you complete your CPT course first so that you can join in IPCC course.

The basic eligibility for CPT exam is to have passed higher secondary exam in 10 + 2 pattern from any recognized University or Board. This exam is for joining the foundation course of CA. Graduates who have more 60% marks in graduation can apply directly for the intermediate course. Since you have completed the graduation with 71% marks you can apply directly for this course. There are two groups in intermediate course. You have to clear both the groups. After the intermediate course you have to undergo 25 days training in Information Technology from the institutes specified by ICAI. After the training you can join for the final course. After clearing the final course you can become a member of ICAI.

Yes,you can appear for CPT. According to guidelines of ICAI,you can also appear for IPCC,without appearing for CPT,if you have completed graduation in commerce with 55% atleast.
You have mentioned that you have completed B.com with 71% so i think you should directly appear for IPCC,as appearing in CPT will waste your time.
    Best o luck
