Of course you can but do not mention OBC in the Form of Probationary Officer.Tick the general catagory.
Or else you can manage to again get a OBC certificate before the exam, in this case you have to tick the OBC category if you can not show the document at the time of verification then your particiapation in the exam will be cancelled though you quallify for it.

    HI FRIENDS

IF YOU FORGET YOUR CASTE CERTIFICATE THEN YOU NO WORRY ABOUT THIS YOU NOT THAT YOU ONLY APPLY WITH YOUR CATEGORY AT APPLY THERE IS NO REQUIREMENT OF OBNC CERTIFICATE YOU MARK AS OBC CATEGORY AT APPLY ONLINE IF YOU SELECT IN PO THEN REQUIRE YOUR CASTE CERTIFICATE AT TIME OF INTERVIEW SO YOU HAVE MUCH TIME TO FIND YOUR CERTI\FICATE IF YOU NOT FOUND THIS THEN YOU MAKE NEW CASTE CERTIFICATE

    THANKS

    Hello Friend

YES you can go for PROBATIONARY OFFICER exam in General Category if you would like.

Dude you have to go for opting General Category while you are filling the application form so that you will be considering in the OC category, you can go for interview through General category.

I say that if it is possible for getting your reservation certificate then i recommend that you apply for PO exam through OBC category as it will fetch you good results and also gives you some good opportunity.

Dude PO are mainly selected in the Banking sector and in order to apply for PO you must have to follow some eligibility criteria like

I think you can't change like that. But, if you don't find your caste certificate then go to MRO office and collect it as soon as possible. Because it will be mandatory for you in many cases. Don't neglect.

But, when the time of submission you can consider writing General, (if you can't get caste certificate at right time)
