No , you are not eligible for IAS after completing diploma in any stream. You must have done B.Tech in any branch ,for IAS .
After completing diploma you will have to appear in the Lateral Entry Test(LEET) to take direct admission in B.Tech second year.
For being eligible for LEET , you must have atleast 60% marks in diploma and should not have any backlog pending in diploma.
After passing B.Tech you will become eligible for IAS

    Best of luck

    Hi friend,

You are not eligible for IAS Examination on the basis of your Diploma courses.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services which is conducted by UPSC.
The basic educational qualification for IAS examination is that you must have completed your Graduation in any field and age limit for the same is 21-30 years.

Clearing IAS is not a children play, you need to really work hard continously for at least an year.

IAS Exam consists of 3 stages:

    Preliminary Exam
    Mains Exam
    Personal Interview Round

After clearing the preliminary round only then you will be eligible for Mains Round.

In,IAS there are number of subjects in which you have to select some of them according to your interest and your exam will comprise of the syllabus of that subjects.

For getting eligible for IAS,you firstly need to complete your Graduation degree else you will not eligible for IAS.Since you had completed Diploma which is not a Graduation level course so i would recommend you to go for Engineering degree,it will be the most suitable option for you.

No you will not be eligible for appearing in IAS exam after completing your Diploma in Civil engineering.
For this you require the following eligibility:-

    >>Your minimum educational qualification should be graduation pass out from stream.
    >>Your degree should be from recognized university.
    >>Most important you should be an Indian citizen.

However if you will complete B.TECH in civil engineering or any simple graduation then you will be eligible for this exam.
If you will do B.TECH In civil engineering then it will easy for you to crack this paper.
Because for this exam you will have to select two papers.
In IPS exam civil paper is available so you can easily select it for giving this exam.

There is also restrictions in appearing in this exam.
The details for it is as follows:-
    >>If you comes under the general category then you can only appear 4 times in this exam.
    >>If you comes under the obc category then you can only appear 7 times in this exam.

There is no limitation in appearing in this exam if you comes under the sc/st category but after 28 years you will only get 5 years of age relaxations.
