    Can I become an IAS/IPS officer if once failed in +2 and having 2 years gap in Engineering course?

    i have completed my b-tech in computer science, i want to appear the ias and ips exam, but i have failed once in my +2, and also there is 2 years gap in completing the engineering. so is there any possibility to become an officer

    IPS stands for Indian Police service.

    IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services .


    Both exam conducted by UPSC through Civil Service Exam .This exam is conduct through Civil Service Exam.


    Graduation Degree in any stream from a recognized university are applicable for IAS/IPS Exam, the final year students also eligible for applying preliminary examination


    So if you have completed graduation degree then it will not create any problem for year gape in through out career .

    The Candidate age should be in between 21 years to 30 years . Age Relaxation for OBC candidate is 3 years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years.


    The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.


    Optional subjects for IAS/IPS main exam:-


    Economics , Electrical Engineering,Geography, Geology ,History, Law,Management,Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Science, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science and International Relations, Psychology, Public Administration, Sociology,Statistics, Zoology, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Anthropology,Botany, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Commerce and Accountancy.

    IAS exam not require any physical criteria but IPS exam required physical criteria which are given below-

    Hai,

    If you are complete graduation then you are eligible for IAS/IPS examination. So gap of your 2 years is donot create any problem for you. These exams conducted by the UPSC once in a year.


    Eligibility criteria:-

    The candidate should be complete bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university.

    You must be a citizen of India.

    Final year graduation students are also eligible and percentage is not important.


    Age criteria:-

    The age limits are 21 years to 30 years,

    3 years relaxation for OBC candidates,

    5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates.


    Selection process:-

    Preliminary exam,

    Mains exam,

    Personal interview.

    Yes,

    You are eligible for IAS if you have failed in +2 and gap of 2 year Engineering.

    IAS is civil service exam.

    It is conducted by the UPSC .

    It requires only Bachelor degree.

    It is not requires any gap or any criteria for Education.

    Your age should be 21 to 30 years.

    You should be Citizen of India.


    The selection process are as follows:

    Preliminary exam

    Main Exam

    Interview

    Since you have completed my b-tech in computer science then you can appear the IAS and IPS exam because presently you have completed the engineering course.

    Required Educational criteria:

    Candidates must have completed graduation/degree from any recognized university.

    Age Limitation for the IAS and IPS exam : 21 years to 30 years.

    General candidates have 4 attempts
    OBC candidates have 7 attempts and
    SC/ST candidates have no limitation on the number of attempts.
