    Hello friend,
if you had choose maths n computer subjects in 11th class then obviously you had selected engineering field only so you will be a engineer only dear...
so don't worry you will be engineer with your selected subjects in 11th class so no need to change subject...
    best of luck.

Yes you can become an engineer when you will complete your 12th class then you can take admission in hardware/software/networking courses and can full fill your dream. But according to me it will be very good if you take the PCM subjects in your 11th and 12th class. No mention if you canít take these subjects then you can also take admission in the above listed courses and there are also lot of courses available where you can do in any reputed institute. After completing these courses you will be placed in the top IT companies and also in the government sector.

Re: Can I become an Engineer without changing my subject(Com-Maths) in 11th?

No, dear it is not at all possible to pursue Engineering with Commerce with maths in 11th and 12th standard. The most important thing which i want to explain you is that Commerce and Science are totally different streams and if you want to pursue Engineering , then you have to change your stream from commerce to Science.

And one thing more, that no Engineering college would give you admission with commerce in 12th standard as the minimum requirement to secure admission i any Engineering college is that you must have PCM(Physics, Chemistry, Maths) in your 12th standard.

So, in my opinion if you are really interested in Engineering , then you must change your stream as soon as possible otherwise it may not be possible for you to realise your dream .
And do not wait more because many of the schools do not allow to change the stream in the middle of the year.

no you have to carry at least math as your compulsory subject.
you have PCM in your 12th by which you will get admitted as an engineer.

    Dear Friend,
Firstly you need to clarify whether "com" means commerce or computer. Please write your queries clearly for us to understand and avoid using short forms.
If com means commerce then certainly you are not eligible for engineering unless your school allows to change you to science stream at such a late stage as this.
If com means computer then you can apply for engineering as it requires PCM with any subject as optional. You require a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate and PCM to be eligible to apply for various private universities and also take many state and national level entrance exams for engineering like IIT-JEE,AIEEE,BITSAT,VITEEE,ISAT,NEST,SRMEEE,etc.You have scored very good percentage in 10th so you will do very well in engineering and could also take up computer science engineering(B.Tech).

Re: Can I become an Engineer without changing my subject(Com-Maths) in 11th?

If you have taken commerce stream, you cant apply for Engineering. Always remember the three compulsory subject to take admission in B.tech are PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, MATH and minimum 50% aggregate in these subjects. Without even a single subject, you cant apply for B.Tech.
Although you can go for some diploma also. as diploma in hardware or software but for B.Tech, these three subjects are compulsory.

so if your aim is to become Engineer, you have to change your subjects.

Re: Can I become an Engineer without changing my subject(Com-Maths) in 11th?

with commerce and mathematics it is not possible for you to join in Engineering.
Engineering Admissions need physics chemistry and mathematics marks so it is mandatory for you to complete these courses.
so it is better to change your stream in school now and take up maths with science group to join engineering.
if not u can try doing diploma with your 10th score and join engineering 2nd year directly.

    Dear friend,

You had not clearly mentioned the meaning of Com.
If it means commerce, then you are not eligible for Engineering course.
If it means Computer then you are eligible for Engineering courses.
For getting admission in any Engineering field, you will have to complete your 12th with Physics,Chemistry,Maths as compulsory subjects with minimum 60% marks.
This will make you eligible for National level Engineering Entrance tests such as AIEEE,IIT-JEE.
On the basis of your rank in these entrance tests, you will be assigned college.
You should try to score good rank in Entrance tests in order to secure admission in reputed Engineering colleges.

    All the best.

Re: Can I become an Engineer without changing my subject(Com-Maths) in 11th?

If you continue your commerce till +2 then you cannot become a engineer ,
Now , you have two ways to choose from:
1 Shift to +2 non-medical, because for being in engineering line , you need to pass +2(non-medical)for being eligible for AIEEE,
It is necessary to appear in AIEEE if you want to ahve admission in some engineering college

2 You can appear in Joint Entrance Test(JET) to take admission in diploma
JET is on the basis of 10th, and according to your rank in JET you will get admission in diploma
Diploma is of three years and you can choose any trade you want to have
After completing your three years diploma you must have:atleast 60% marks in diploma
and should not have any backlog pending on diploma

After completion of diploma you will have to appear in Lateral Entry Test(LEET) to take direct admission in B.Tech second year.
LEET is based on diploma and is a state level exam
its syllabus id different for every board.

    Best of luck
