Thumbs up Re: Can I become a computer engineer even after taking biology in intermediate course?

    Hi friend,

No way mine friend, Since computer science is nothing without Maths, trust me.

All you have to deal with is Maths. So, i will suggest you to take Maths in 12th for sure.

To study any branch in engineering, you are required to study mathematics at any cost.

You may become these engineers after taking bio in 12th :

    >> Genetic Engineering

    >> Bio medical

If you have PCMB then you may apply each branch of engineering.

    Best of Luck!!

    Hope it helps!!

    Hello.....
First of all let me tell you that if you want to become computer engineer from B.TECH institutes
then you need to give entrance exam like
    IITJEE , AIEEE, UPTU BITSAT
these are various exams which help you to go for
    engineering courses...........

But to apply for entrance exams for engineering courses you need to have 3 compulsory subjects
    1) Physics
    2) Chemistry
    3) maths

to go for engineering you need to go for maths you cant go for engineering without maths

    Hai dear friend,
do you not elagible to take in engineering course because you are studying in +2 in biology in this course is not offered in engineering course .so you are trying to get a medical side. but you are intersted in computer engineering side there is two ways 1.to compleate +2 in mpc or2. to learn computer cources(java, animanitations, designing the softwares ,developed the applications based in new trends levels).

Although it is possible to become a computer science engineer without having Mathematics in your 10+2,but you cannot avail the Btech degree directly. If you do not take mathematics in your intermediate, you are not eligible for any entrance exam of engineering since the basic criteria is-Having Mathematics, physics and Chemistry.
However, you can go for diploma engineering in Computer Science which does not require Mathematics as essential subject in 10+2.But,you have to study mathematics in your diploma course. After your diploma course, you can directly get into Btech course of Computer Science in second year through Lateral Entry Test.
Thus,if you take Biology, you only have the option for diploma engineering through which you can get into degree engineering later through LEET exam.
    All The Best!

    Dear Friend,

To study engineering you must consist PHYSICS,CHEMISTRY & MATHEMATICS as a subject in your intermediate and you need have to score at least 50% in average on those. This is the eligibility criteria of JEE.After that you have to qualify in JEE to get admission in engineering colleges.Biology is not compulsory for engineering.

    Good Luck
