    Can I attempt NET at the age of 30 yrs? What is the age limit for research and lectureship? When the forms will be available for same?

    i am 30 year old. can i attend NET exams. what is the age limit 4 research n 4 lecturarship. could u plz inform me when will forms be available.

    NET exam is conducted by UGC. There is no upper age limit for lectureship position. Hence you can attempt NET exam in this age. For Junior Research Fellow position, the upper age limit is 28 years. But there is relaxation for the reserved categories. An age relaxation of 5 years is allowed mainly for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates. The notifications regarding the NET exam will be published in the official website. You can log in the UGC website for more details.

    NET stands for National Eligibility Test which is conducted by UGC.This exam will be happen twice time in a year.

    Those candidate have completed masters degree with above 55% marks from recognized university are eligible for NET exam.Marks relaxation is provide for SC/ST candidate.

    There is no age limitation for those who are applying for Lectureship but for JRF , Your age should not be more then 28 years.

    So if you want apply for lectureship , then there is no age criteria.But if you can apply in JRF post then the maximum age criteria is 28 years old.

    Your age now 30 years old so you are applicable for NET exam for lectureship post.

    From this year NET exam is fully based on objective type Question paper . Even paper III also objective type.

    NET exam date for June session is already over so you can wait for Next notification for the exam of December 2012.

    NET stands for National eligibility test

    ---> the exam is conducted by UGC ( university grants commission)

    age limitations for different posts are :

    1.for jrf ( junior research fellowship) your age must be 28 years

    2.for lectureship , there is no upper limit of age
