    Can I apply for UGC NET/SET while studying M.Com 2nd semester?

    No, If You are Pursuing your 2nd Semester Course then you are Not eligible for NET Examination because only Final year appearing candidates are eligible for NET Examination, So please apply for NET Examination only when you are Pursuing your Final Semester Course.

    NET Stands for National Eligibility Test and this examination is Conducted by UGC Twice in a year.

    This examination is Conducted to determine eligibility for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).

    You have to attained the age of 19 Years to apply for NET Examination.

    There is no Upper age restrictions to apply for Lectureship post, If you have applied for Junior Research fellowship post then your age should not be more than 28 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.

    The examination fees of NET Examination is Rs 450 and you have to pay the fees through Challan form in SBI Bank, the challan form is availiable in the official website after declaring the Notification.

    The notification of NET Examination will be published soon in the month of April this year, Eligible candidates may fill the application form online only.

    There are total 3 papers in NET Examination and all papers is conducted in same day in 2 sessions.

    The first 2 paper is Objective and Last paper is Descriptive and you have to choose the subjects in NET Examination on the basis of your Post graduation Only.

    The List of Subjects is Availiable in the official website, You can easily download the syllabus and Previous year papers from the official website.

    Eligibility Criteria :

    >> You have to complete your Post graduate degree course in any discipline from a recognised University.
    >> You have to scored minimum 55% Marks in your Post graduation
    >> Final year appearing candidates are also apply for this examination

    So, please complete your Post graduate degree course and then apply for NET Examination.

    Sorry , M.Com 2nd semester student are not applicable for UGC NET Exam.

    NET stands for National Eligibility Test which is conduct twice time in year.

    Those candidate have completed masters degree from recognized university are eligible for NET exam.


    For general and OBC candidate must be hold 55%above in masters degree. SC/ST candidate must be hold 50% above in masters degree.


    For Junior research fellowship course your age must be in between 19 to 28 years.


    For lectureship ,There is no upper age limit but the Minimum age is 19 years.There is no restriction for attempts NET exam.


    NET exam is conduct because of govt college lecturer and PHD entrance.


    From this year NET Pattern will be changed .I have listed the details about that.

    Sorry to say,you are not eligible to appear in the UGC Net exam .
    Here i am giving the detail of NET exam including eligiblity criteria.you just vary this.

    NET means National Eligiblity Test which is conduct by University Grands Commission two times every year in the month of June and December.
    This exam conduct for JRF(Junior Research Fellowship) and Lecturership.

    Eligiblity Criteria for Net exam..

    * Minimum age to appear in the JRF and Lecturership exam should not be less then 21 years and in
    maximum age,JRF apply upto 28 years and for Lecturership there is no upper age limit.
    * You can appear in both the exams many times.
    * Qualification should be post graduation with minimum 50% marks by a recognized university for
    both JRF and Lectureship.
    If you are pursuing final year of post graduation then you can sit in the exam.
    * JRF students can also apply for Lecturership exam.

    Notification for the Net exam publish in the news paper or on the official website of UGC in the last march to starting April.
    You have to pay 450/- Rs as a registration fee to appear in the NET exam.

    sorry dear you are not eligible for this exam NET(National Eligibility Test) the eligibility for the NET Exam is.....................
    **Candidate must be completed his post graduation
    **and gain minimum 55% of marks for general students
    **and the other students gain only 50% of marks with out any errors
    **and the exam is conducted twice per year
    **the total exam pattern in Objective
    **the exam is conducted in 3 papers
    **The lecturer ship posting has no age limit for applying
    **For junior fellowship post has age limit

    >>upper age relaxation is applicable for the ST/SC/OBC students
    **The NET examination fees is 450 rs/-

    No, you are not eligible to apply for NET /SET examination.

    NET stands for National eligibility tast,

    and
    SET for State Eligibility Test.

    Through Net qualifying you can apply in any part of India for Lecturer post and through qualifying in SET only with in State only for which you have applied.

    For NET /SET only post graduation completed , and final year students are eligible.

    Candidates must have to secore minimum 55% or above in post graduation programm.

    Post graduation degree should be from a recognized university.

    Union Grant Commission every year two times conducts examination of Net.

    Examination is conducted in the month of June and December.

    Notification were available at net website in the month ofmarch and October.

    You have to apply online for appearing in examination.

    Application fees for general category Rs 450
    for obc Rs 250
    for sc/st Rs 110.

    Through SBI challan you have to pay fees.

    The examination is held for two post:
    Lecturership post
    and JRF post.
    Maximum age limit for JRF is 28 years ,after this you cannot apply for it.

    For Lecturer post not specified.

    National Eligibility Test (NET) Exam



    University Grants Commission (UGC) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) every year.

    It is conducted to determine eligibility of entrants for lectureship or to award Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).

    You can also appear for both at the same time.

    Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) conducts UGC-CSIR NET for certain Science subjects like Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Chemical Sciences etc.

    Structure and Pattern of NET exam

    For both lectureship and JRF same question paper is prepared by UGC

    It constitutes subjects as follows;

    Paper I -Objective Type- General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Methods (50 questions) – 100 Marks

    Paper II- Objective Type – Core Subject (50 questions)- 100 Marks

    Paper III- Descriptive Type – Core Subject – will have four sections. Section 1- 5x5= 25 marks (30 words), Section 2 –15x5=75 marks (30 words), Section 3- 5x12= 60 marks (200 words) and Section 4- 1x40= 40 marks(1000 words)

    Grand Total = 400 marks


    Qualification Criteria for NET exam

    You must have completed Post Graduation in the desired subject.

    They must have secured Master’s Degree with a minimum of 55% from any reputed college under UGC recognition.

    If You are appearing for last semester exam ; You can even attend NET exam.

    Thirty Five years is the maximum age limit.

    There is relaxation of 3 years OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.



    Application Procedure for NET exam


    You have to apply online before the specific date announced by UGC.

    2 print outs of filled in online application form, exam attendance slip and admission card at the respective centers (with fee receipt and category certificate(s) are the documents required for applying to this exam.
