IPS Stands for Indian Police Services and to become IPS Officer, you have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline from a recognised University. If you have completed your Graduation then you can apply for UPSC Civil services examination. This examination is conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to various services like the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service and Indian Police Service, as well as Group A and Group B Central Services.
But for this year UPSC Civil services examination Notification was already Declared and the last date of apply for this examination was already Over.
The Preliminary examination is conducted soon on 20/May/2012.
If you have missed the chance this year then please apply for this examination next year. The Notification of Civil services examination will be Published in the employment Newspaper OR in the UPSC Website in the month of February.
Eligibility Criteria :
You have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline from a recognised University.
Final year appearing candidates are also apply for this examination
There is no Minimum percentage is Required to apply for this examination. Any graduate passed candidates are eligible for this examination.
You must have attained the age of 21 years and not have attained the age of 30 years to apply for this examination, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.
So, please prepared well for this examination as per the pattern and Syllabus. The examination is conducted in 2 stages :
~~ Preliminary examination
~~ Main examination.
Firstly you have to cracked the Preliminary examination, There are 2 papers in this examination and if you cracked this one, then you are eligible for Main examination.
Main examination is Descriptive and you have to select the Optional Subjects on the basis of your Graduation.
