    Can I apply for engineering services examination after completing B.Tech(EEE) with 63%?

    hello sir,
    I have got 63% in b-tech(EEE).Can i apply for engineering services examination?

    Yes you can apply for the IES exam with above mentioned educational qualifications. IES exam is conducted by the UPSC. Only Indian nationals can apply for IES exam. The minimum criterion for applying for the IES exam is an engineering graduation. Only those candidates who are from the mechanical/ civil/electrical/ electronics and Telecommunication branch are eligible to apply for the IES exam. The candidates should be of the minimum age of 21 years. The maximum age limit for applying for this exam is around 30 years which is subject to relaxations in case of the reserved categories. The candidates can apply online for the IES exam by logging in to the official website of UPSC. The final year engineering graduates have also the chance for applying for this exam.

    Indian Engineering Service exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year once to take qualified students into different engineering department in government sector.

    To appear for IES exam,you should have completed minimum B.Tech/B.E course from any one branch mentioned below.
    >>Mechanical Engineering
    >>Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering
    >>Electrical Electronic Engineering
    >>Civil Engineering
    And your age should be between 21 to 30 years.

    If you fulfill with criteria,then you are eligible to apply for Indian Engineering Service exam.

    IES exam notification details for this year:
    Indian Engineering Service exam notification will release on 25th Feb 2012,closed on 24th March 2012 and exam will held on 15th June 2012.

    After clearing the IES exam,you can be in any one of Engineering Service Post mentioned below.

    Yes, You are eligible for IES Examination After completing your Engineering degree course in EEE with 63% marks, Firstly, all the Engineering graduate candidates are eligible for IES Examination, Because it is mentioned in the official website, But if you have study these given Subjects in your Engineering degree course, then you will easily handle IES Examination. You have to study any of the subjects in your Graduation to appear for IES Examination.

    IES stands for Indian Engineering Services Examination and this examination is Conducted by UPSC, Every year. To apply for this examination you have to complete your Engineering graduate degree course from a recognised University.

    To apply for IES Examination you have to attained the age of 21 years and not attained the age of 30 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates. You have no need to scored any minimum percentage in your Graduation because any graduate passed candidates are eligible for UPSC IES Examination. The selection will be based on Written Examination and it will comprise of two sections :

    ~~ Section I : Consisting only of objective types of questions and
    ~~ Section II : conventional papers.

    Those who cracked the Written test are eligible for Personal Interview/Personality test, Personality test carrying a maximum of 200 marks of such of the candidates who qualify on the basis of the written examination.

    The Notification of IES Examination will be Published soon on 25/Feb/2012 and the last date of apply for this examination 26/March/2012. The examination will be held on 15/June/2012.

    The Notification will be Published in the Employment newspaper OR in the Leading Newspapers. You have to fill the application form "Online" Only Because all UPSC Application form will be Filled Online Only from this year, There is no Offline application form Facility from this year. You have to pay the fees of IES by any one of the modes :

    ~~ Pay the fees through SBI Net Banking
    ~~ Pay the fees by Using SBI Debit/Credit Card

    Hi,

    Yes you can apply for the IES Examination after Completing your Graduation in B-tech with EEE(Electrical and Electronics Engineering) as your Discipline.

    IES(Indian Engineering Service) Entrance examination is Conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission). The Notifications about the exam is published in the employment newspapers or it is updated in the website. You need to fulfill the eligibility criteria to appear for the examination.

    Educational Qualifications:

    You need to complete your Graduation in Engineering/Technology from a recognized University with any one of the following Discplines:
    • Civil Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Electronics & telecommunication Engineering

    Even Final years are eligible to appear for the exam.

    Age Limit and Nationality:

    You Should be a citizen of India(or) a Subject of Nepal or Bhutan
    You must be 21 to 30 years of age.
    Upper age Relaxations applicable for SC/ST and OBC.

    Attempts:
    • General Category Candidates can Attempt 4 times.
    • OBC Candidates 7 times.
    • SC/ST Candidates do not have any limits to appear for the exam.

    the Objective paper Carries 600 Marks and the subjective has a weight age of 400 marks. So the total exam carries is 1000 marks.
