    Can I apply for CTET while studying B.Sc Final year? When is the next CTET?

    hello sir/madam
    can a student of bsc final yr may apply for this ctet exam.and when will the next test conducted

    Hi there!
    >>For CTET examination you should have the following criteria:
    -Graduation from a government recognized college in science or arts in trade.
    -You should ahve at least 50% of marks in your graduation level
    -The final examination appearing student also may apply
    -the result os the final year stuednts' final examination should be published by 1st August
    >>The CTET examination for 2012 will be held in the month of Jue this year.
    >>The official notification for the same will be published soon.

    Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a mandatory exam which needs to be cleared to be eligible to choose teaching profession

    Exam pattern :

    CTET will consist of multiple choice questions (MCQs) each carrying 1 mark. There will be 150 MCQs for the primary stage test and 210 MCQs for Elementary Stage. There will be no negative marking. The exam will be for 90 minutes.

    Eligibility for CTET :

    For primary stage (Classes I - IV) :
    You must have senior secondary education with at least 50% marks and 2 year diploma course in elementary education.
    For elementary stage (Classes VI VIII) :
    You should have a graduate degree along with 2 year diploma in elementary education (Or) 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) degree.
    Important :
    Senior secondary qualification with 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) or B.A / B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed candidates are also eligible.

    Application Fee:

    For SC/ST it is 250/-
    For General and OBC it is 500/-

    1. Child Development and Pedagogy 30 questions and 30 marks
    2. Language I 30 questions and 30 marks
    3. Language II 30 questions and 30 marks
    4. Mathematics 30 questions and 30 marks
    5. Environment Studies 30 questions and 30 marks

    The fee can be remitted in the following ways.

    Through Credit/ Debit Card
    Through Demand Draft in favour of the Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi drawn in any Nationalized Bank payable at Delhi. Write your registration number, name, address, and mobile/ telephone number on the back of the Demand Draft.
    Pattern of Examination

    The CTET examination will be of objective type Multiple Choice Question (MCQ's). There will be no negative marking. There will be 2 papers of CTET.

    Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
    Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
