NDA stands for National Defense Academy and this examination is Conducted by UPSC, Twice in a year for the Recruitment of these 3 Wings of NDA :

>> Army Wings
>> Naval Wings
>> Air Force Wings

The Selection are based on Written test, Medical Test and personal Interview. Those who cracked the Written examination are eligible for SSB Interview. If you have cracked the SSB Interview, then you are eligible for Training, There will be written Examination for total of 900 marks in two Subjects :

>> Mathematics - Maximum marks is 300 and the duration of the test is 2.5 Hours
>> General Ability Test - Maximum marks is 600 and the duration of the test is 2.5 Hours.

The papers in both the subjects will consist of objective type questions only. The question papers of mathematics and General Ability Tests will be set in Hindi as well as English.

If you have completed your 11Th examination and Now Pursuing your 12Th examination then yes you are eligible to apply for NDA Examination this year, the Notification was already announced and availiable in the official website of UPSC.

It is not possible to attend NDA examination after 11th class. The candidates who have completed XII class are eligible to attend the examination. The exam is carried out by UPSC. Only unmarried males are allowed to appear for the exam. The candidate should be in the age group of 16 1/2 to 19 years. If the candidate belongs to Arts stream in 12 th class, they can join Indian Army. Those who have completed XII class with science can join Indian Navy and Air Force.

You were not eligible for appearing in the NDA exam while you were in
11 th standard. But as you are in 12 th, you can appear in the National
Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I) 2012. Those students
who are appearing for the final year of their qualification exam are
eligible to take this examination.

The National defense academy is a joint academy that imparts training
to the selected candidates for the three wings of the Indian defense
which are the Army, Air force and the Naval wing.

The eligibility for appearing in the NDA examination is as follows :-

- If you wish to join the Army Wing of National Defence Academy then you
must be a 12th class pass of 10+2 pattern of school education by either
Central board or state education board.

- If you wish to join the Air Force and Naval Wings of National
Defence Academy then you must have passed 10+2 pattern of school education

Yes , you can appear for NDA Entrance Exam after completing 11th.

NDA examination is conducted by the UPSC to select students for different fields like ARMY,NAVY and AIR FORCE.There is one single papers for all these fields and students can apply for all three according to his preferences .At the time of filing the application form the students have to give preference from 1 to 3 to all these fields based on the qualifying marks and the merit list the students will get the different fields .

Pattern of the examination ::

Total marks in which you will be judged will be out of 1800 which is divided as ::

Written examination ->900 MARKS
SSB->900 MARKS

The examination is done in three phases ::

1.Written exam
2.SSB
3.Medical .

Written examination consist of two papers ::

Paper I:: It carries 300 Marks and is of maths and duration of the examination is 2-1/2 hours

Paper II ::It carries 600 marks and duration of the examination is 2-1/2 hours .It consist of English and General ability paper.

General Ability Test will be broken into 6 parts. The allocated marks are:

Physics – This topic will carry 100 marks.
Chemistry – This topic will carry 60 marks.
General section – This topic will carry 40 marks.
History, Freedom Movement – This topic will carry 80 marks.
Geography – This topic will carry 80 marks.
Current Events – This topic will carry 40 marks.

Eligibility for the exam ::

Interested candidates must have passed class 12th examination in any streams for the ARMY

If you are interested in joining NAVY and AIR FORCE then you must have physics and maths as a compulsory subjects in class 12th

your age must be between 16-19 1/2 years. If your age limit Exceeds the Given limit then you are not Eligible For NDA Exam.

Yes,you can appear for NDA exam.NDA exam is conducted by UPSC every year twice to take qualified students into different defense service like Indian Air Force,Indian Navy and Indian Army.

To appear for NDA(Indian Air Force/Indian Navy),you should have complete 12th class with PCM stream from a recognized university and your age should be between 16 1/2 to 19 years.

To appear for NDA(Indian Army),you should have complete 12th class with any stream from a recognized university and your age should be between 16 1/2 to 19 years.

You must write NDA exam to join Army after completing 12th. NDA stands for National Defence Academy. The exam is conducted by UPSC board for 2 times in a year.

The age limit for joining NDA is 16 1/2 - 19 years. There is no age relaxation provided. Also only male candidates are only allowed. No women is eligible to appear for NDA.
All the candidates appearing for NDA exam should not be married.

The procedure for selection is based on the written exam and after that a medical and physical test is conducted. After qualifying all these a candidate is selected for NDA.

The duration of training period will be there for 3-4 years and candidates need not pay any fee while in the training period and also in the last year of the year of the training monthly stipend of 21,000 rupees is provided.

Along with this all the candidates applying for NDA airforce exam must complete 12th with maths, physics and chemistry group compulsory and it is mandatory.

Every candidate must be healthy and with a good physique. Also should not posses any kind of diseases related to skin, ears, nose, stomach, mouth etc

Accomodation will be provided free of cost and all the other will be also given in the prospectus of NDA exam.
