But you can other exams of defence, army, navy,airforce after 12th and graduation.

Girls cannot apply for NDA exam.

IF a girl wants to join indian army, navy or air force then She have to wait till her graduation & 21 year of age. Then she can apply for CDS Exam conducted by the UPSC. after clearing that exam and SSB she can join the defense services.

the Age limit of NDA exam is 16.5 to 19 years so till 19 years you can apply as many times as possible.

NDA (National Defense Academy) is conducted by UPSC for those who are interested in gettign in to Defene services.UPSC conducts this exam twice every year.

Only male un-married Students are eligible to apply for this exam.

You need complete your 12th from a reconized board to apply for this exam.

Your age need to be between 16.5 to 19 years.

For apply for Army wing you need to complete your 12th exam.

But for Air force and Naval you need to complete 12th with physics and maths subjects included.

But if u want to go for defense services u can go through various examinations like CDS,AFCAT etc.

For CDS u need the following criteria

Firstly, I have to clear your Doubt that Girls are not eligible to apply for National Defence Academy examination after Intermediate and there is no entry for girls after Intermediate to Join Indian Defence. This is because between the age of 16.5 to 19 years, girls are not be fit accordingly to the medical standards of Indian Defence as compared to Boys. Girls are not fit for training, so this is the reason that girls are not eligible for NDA Examination.

NDA stands for National Defence Academy examination and this examination is one of the most famous examination, but only unmarried male candidates are eligible for this examination. The notification is published twice in a year in the employment Newspaper. But sorry to say that girls are not eligible for this examination.

If you are Interested to apply for Defence then you have to complete your Graduate degree course and then you can apply for Lots of Entries.

When you complete your graduation then you are eligible to apply for the CDS Examination, CDS Stands for combined Defence examination and this examination is conducted by UPSC, two times in a year and Girls can only choose OTA(Officer's Training Academy) only as the preference. Eligibility Criteria :-

** Candidates must have a 12th standard with PCM Subject from any recognized institution

** Candidates age should between 16.5 to 19 years, no age relaxation for this examination

** Candidates should be a citizen of India

No. Girls are not eligible for appearing in NDA exam. NDA stands for National defense academy.
It is the joint academy which was established for imparting training to selected candidates
for the three wings of Indian defense which are :-

-Army,
-Air force and the
-Naval wing

The eligibility for appearing in NDA entrance examination is as follows :-

1)You must be a unmarried male candidate.

2)Your age must be between 16.5 to 19 years.

3)If you aspire for the Army Wing of National Defence Academy then you must have passed 10+2 pattern
of school education by either Central board of Secondary Education or state education board.

4)If you aspire for the Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy then you must have passed
10+2 pattern of school education with Physics and Mathematics as compulsary subjects in 10+2.

So only males that too unmarried are eligible for appearing in this examination.

But that does not restrict you or anyother lady from joining Indian defense services.
You can compleate your graduation or Bachelors degree after which you can appear for Combined
defense services (CDS), entrance examination.

The Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination is organised twice every year by the Union Public
Service Commission( UPSC) for shortlisting suitable candidates for the following services of the
Indian Armed forces:-

-Indian Military Academy, Dehradun
-Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala
-Air Force Academy, Hyderabad
-Officers Training Academy, Chennai - For Men
-Officers Training Academy, Chennai - For Women

Out of the above womens are eligible and considered for Officers Training Academy (OTA) only.

The Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination is held twice a year in the month of February
and September.The examination is a three stage process as below :-

-Written examination
-Service selection board (SSB) Interview
-Medical Test

The educational qualification required for appearing in the CDS examination is as follows :-

-For Air Force Academy you must have a Degree from a recognised University
with Mathematics and Physics at 10+2 standard or you must have a Bachelor's
degree in engineering .

-For Indian Naval Academy you must have a Bachelors degree Engineering.

-For Indian Military Academy and Officer's Training Academy you must
have a Bachelors degree in any discipline from a recognised institute or University.
