Re: Can a diploma holder do MBA?

MBA stands for Master in Business administration and the duration of this course is 2 years and the course is divided into 4 semester. You can choose one specialization in this course as a major because there are lots of Specializations in this course. But to get admission in this course you have to complete your Graduate degree course first, Diploma candidates are not eligible to take admission in MBA Course because this is a post graduate degree course and only graduate passed candidates will take admission in this course.

The admission is strictly based on Entrance examinations and these two are the most famous examination for MBA Namely, CAT and MAT.

CAT stands for Common admission test and this examination is conducted by IIM's every year and for this year examination notification was already published and online registrations already started and to apply for this examination you have to complete your graduate degree course in any discipline with minimum 50% marks. Final year appearing candidates are also apply for this examination provisionally.

MAT Stands for management Aptitude test and this examination is conducted by AIMA, 4 times in a year. The examination is conducted in February, May, September and December. You can apply for this examination many times because there is no Restrictions to apply for this examination. There is no age restrictions also.

You have to scored good percentile in any one of the examinations and then you are eligible to appear for Group Discussion and Personal Interview for Final selection.

If your aim is to get admission in IIM's then for this you have to apply for the CAT Examination, Because IIM's only accepts the CAT Scores.

Other top business schools accepts the MAT/CAT Examination Score. If you have scored well marks then you will definitely get admission in top colleges after cracking GD&PI.

The examination is objective with Negative marking and there are two modes to give this examination, Paper based test and Computer based test.

But CAT is only Computer based test, You have to prepared well to cracked the CAT Examination.

But Diploma candidates are not eligible for both the examinations, so please complete your graduation first and then apply for these examinations to get admission finally in MBA.

If you want more details then please check the official websites of CAT/MAT.

    >> There is nothing to be regarded about the age limit as there are nothing mentioned.

And apart from this you need to write the entrance exam for joining in MBA Course as there are many entrnce exam which are conducted all over India and there are criteria's which are needed to be satisfied for applying for the entrance exam to be eligible.

So,you are ineligible for joining in MBA Course being a Diploma holder
