For any B.Sc course it is a must that candidate should be from a science background. The candidate needs to have taken Mathematics along with Physics and Chemistry in the 12th standard. Biology is not a must. Even for the Information Technology course too it is a must to have pursued this stream. If you wish to change stream to IT you can go in for BCA. But for that Mathematics should have been a subject amongst the commerce subjects that you pursued. After that you must go in for MCA. You can also go in for programming courses in this area by joining institutes like APTECH and NIIT. You need to take a decision immediately as it important that choose the stream which interests you.

Yes, commerce students are eligible for the B.Sc IT course. The basic requirement for the B.Sc IT course is to have a +2 pass certification. The candidates who have a 3 year Diploma from the State Technical Education is also eligible for the B.Sc IT course. There are many reputed university which offer this course. Manipal University is one among them. The course is offered through regular form and also thorough Distance education. You can also go for BCA course if you want a change in stream from commerce to IT. After completing this course you can go for an MCA course also.

For B.Sc it you must be a student with science background (with maths).But being a commerce student if you are interested in computer fields you can go for diploma courses by NIIT like GNIIT or such other courses. You can also opt for BCA.

no you can not take addimision in b.sc IT because its eligiliblity is 12th with PCM.

no you can't get admission in b.sc course because for this you required to study your 10+2 with physics chemistry and mathematics as your main subjects, which you hadn't done. so don't even think of it

B.Sc is meant for science students. Any student of commerce side cannot choose any course related to the science stream.
But a science stream student can go for commerce side courses. So, you have no choice to enter into the science stream and you cannot get any admission in B.sc.

I am sory to inform you that you cannot opt Bsc IT course with commerce stream because For a Bsc IT courses you need to have science background.So i would suggest you to go for other courses which are available ..alternatively for Bsc IT courses..

B.sc IT-Bachelor of science in Information Technology

To do a degree in B.sc you must have a computer science background i.e in his/her higher secondary should have taken a science group with physics,chemistry,maths and computer.

As you are coming from a commerce group you will not know the basics of computers that is of basic importance.You can do BCA instead of IT and for that to you need to have mathematics being a commerce student you can handle them and after that you can do MCA.For training in programming languages you can join in institutes like NIIT,APTECH,CSC etc which will teach you in due course.

Yes of course......!

Any candidate having at least 50% in +2 in any stream can pursue B.sc (IT) and even M.sc (IT) if in future he wants.

Similar requirement is also for BCA degree. So it is recommended to opt for BCA if possible because B.sc (IT) doesn't promise as good career prospect as BCA.

Also note that you will be able to successfully completing your B.sc (IT) and BCA degree but you wont be allowed for MCA because having Mathematics in +2 is compulsory for that.
But candidate needs not to worry as they still have one of the best option that is - MBA with specialization in IT, System or Marketing will take your career to new heights.

So take a wise decision before selecting any course.

Yes Definatey ! Commerce Students can do BCA course after completing 12th.

So, if you have a Maths OR CS in your 12th exams, then you are eligible for BCA Course Otherwise you will not get admission in BCA in top colleges.

But, Manny collges will offer BCA course without Maths. So, its vary from Colleges to Colleges. But most of the colleges required Maths in 12th.

So, if you have a Maths, then definately you will get admission in BCA.

No, its not possible to opt for unless you have studied physics , chem & maths , computer science.
Its true that many science students apply for commerce courses , but not vice versa.

yes commerce student go for bscit.some university require maths many university doesn't require maths.
by taking maths subject in 12th std you can go for BSC(IT).

No, you are not eligible for B.Sc IT bcoz for that course Maths is compulsory. You can choose B.Com , BBA courses. You can also go for CA.

If you studied math with your commerce stream and more then 50% marks only then you are eligible to apply for B.Sc. IT. You can also apply for the BCA course. When we compare with these two courses then I think BCA has more weightage then the B.Sc IT. But it depend on your interest which you have more take admission in that.

>>minimum 12th pass in science.

but you can do IT oriented courses.

To be eligible to apply for B.sc. IT , you must have completed your 12th with science stream..so without having science in your 11th and 12th class, you can not be eligible to apply for B.sc. IT course...
so you must have to go with commerce courses only after completion of your 12th like B.com, Bca, BbA, ca , cs , etc courses...
so meanwhile you can not do B.sc. IT course as it is science course..
