    Hey friend,

Being a B.Tech IT Student you are ineligible for applying for applying for the IES Exam as you are not satisfying the needed education qualification needed for the exam.

    Qualification Needed:

The candidate who need to apply for the exam must have a education qualification of completed B.E/B.Tech in departments like:
    • Civil Engineering,
    • Mechanical Engineering,
    • Electrical Engineering and

If you study in these departments then you are eligible for applying.

There are certain other criteria's which are also to be satisfied, but as you are not satisfying the education qualification itself there is nothing to be regarded about the other criteria's

For more information regarding the exam check at the official site of UPSC at http://www.upsc.gov.in
