    yes a b.tech student can apply for upsc exam.

    The eligibility criteria for UPSC Civil Services Examination is Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized university.

    Those who are in final year of graduation and expecting their results till August of this year, also can apply for the exam.

    The age limitation for the exam is:

    21-30 years for GENERAL category candidates

    21-33 years for OBC category students and

    21-35 years for SC/ST/PD category candidates.

    GEN category candidates can attempt the exam 4 times and OBC category

    candidates can attempt the exam 7 times. For SC/ST/PD category candidates

    there is no restriction as per number of attempts.

    The notification for the exam in available on UPSC official website http://www.upsc.gov.in/.

    I am happy to inform you that you are eligible for U.P.S.C after completing B.TECH.
    I.A.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C.

    Eligibility criteria:-

    > Age limit in I.A.S:-
    For open category:-21-30year
    For OBC category :- 21-33year
    For ST/SC category:-21-37 year

    definately you can appear for UPSC exam which is conducted every year for recruiting highly skilled candidates to the various posts available in the various department of the government sector. the candidates can find the notification from the official website of UPSC for any details such as qualification required, age limit, syllabus, exam date etc. for applying UPSC exam the candidate should have completed any graduation from recognised university or colleges. The age of the candidates should be between 21-30 years. their will be relaxation in age of 5 years,3 years for the candidates belonging to sc/st and OBC respectively.

    ELIGIBILITY FOR PCS AND ALSO FOR IAS

    Candidate should have complete graduation degree with any stream from a recognized university.
    Age should be between
    21 to 30 years for General category candidates

    Number of attempts:

    Eligibility Criteria for PCS Examination:-

    1.>Educational Qualification required for PCS Exam:

    # The applicant should have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution.

    # The student should have taken Punjabi as one of compulsory or elective subjects in his/her Matriculation examination.



    2.>Physical Standards Required for Punjab Police Service

    For Punjab Police Service, the applicant have to undergo physical test and have to be fit according to the rules and regulations. They have to fulfill the necessary physical standards as below.

    # Minimum height of Men: 5'.7"
    # Minimum height of Women: 5'.3"
    # Chest Measurement for Men (Unexpanded): 33"
    # Chest Measurement for Men (Expanded): 341/2"


    3.>Age Limit for PCS Exam

    # The applicant should not be below 21 years and not above 35 years.

    # For Punjab Police Service the candidate should not be below 21 and should not be above 28 years.

    # For SC/ST a relaxation of 5 years are given for Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) the candidate.

    # For Physically Challenged applicants upper age limit is relaxable up to 45 years.

    # For widows and Divorcees upper age limit is relaxable up to 40 years

    Yes, B.tech Candidates are eligible to apply for UPSC Examination as well as apply for PCS Examination.

    Nationality :
    -----------
    A candidate shall be a:

    >> Citizen of India or
    >> Citizen of Nepal or
    >> Subject of Bhutan.

    To apply for Both these examination, you have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline form a recognised Board, Final year appearing candidates are also apply for this examination.

    If you have completed your B.tech course, then you are eligible to apply for upsc civil services examination, CDS Examination and SCRA Examination. To apply for UPSC Civil services examination, you have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline form a recognised Board and your age should between 21 to 30 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates. Final year graduate candidates are also apply for Civil services examination.

    After completing graduate degree course, you are also apply for CDS Examination. This examination is Conducted by UPSC twice in a year for the Recruitment of IMA, OTA, Naval Academy and Air force Academy. To apply for CDS Examination your age should between 19 to 25 years. No upper age relaxation is applicable for any Reserved categories Candidates.

    If your aim is To become IAS/IPS Officer, then you have to cracked the UPSC Civil services examination and this examination is Conducted into 2 stages, Preliminary examination and Main examination, Preliminary examination is objective and there are 2 papers in this examination, so please prepared well for Preliminary examination, Only then you are eligible to appear for Main examination. Main examination is Descriptive and there are 9 Papers in Main examination, If you cracked Both these stages, then you are appear for Final Interview.

    The Notification of Civil services examination will be Published on 04/Feb/2012 and the last date of apply for this examination 05/March/2012, preliminary examination date : 20/May/2012.

No candidate shall be eligible for appearing in the preliminary examination, unless he has passed the Matriculation/10th examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects.

    To apply for this examination you should have attained the minimum age of 21 years and should not have attained the age of 35 years.

    To apply for Punjab Police Service, You should have attained the minimum age of 21 years and should not have attained the age of 28 years.

    Yes, You are eligible to appear in UPSC exam after completed your B.TECH ....

    Eligibility Criterion that you should fulfill is that ::

    * You must be graduate from recognized university.
    * Your Age should be in between 21-30 yr.

    Age relaxation consider for reserved category ....

    21-33 yr (OBC)
    21-35 yr (SC/ST)

    Education Qualification required in PCS ::

    *In Matriculation Exam, you have to take Punjabi as elective/compulsory subject.
