    IES Stands for Indian Engineering Service examination

    If you have engineering degree then you are applicable for IES exam OR M.Sc. degree or equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject is also acceptable for certain posts.

    But you should write the exam on one from subjects .

    1.Civil Engineering

    2.Electrical Engineering
    3.Mechanical engineering.
    4.Electronics and Communication Engineering.

    If You are from B-Tech in CS department then you are applicable for IES exam.

    Final year student also eligible for IES exam .

    The applicant age should be in between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.

    Hello friend

    Being a computer science and engineering student you can't appear for IES exam

    IES stands for Indian Engineering Services

    Only the candidates completed the following courses can appear for IES
    • Mechanical engineering
    • Civil engineering
    • Electrical and Electronics engineering
    • Electronics and communication engineering

    Even the candidates done M.Sc with the following specializations can also write IES
    • Wireless Communications
    • Electronics
    • Radio Physics or Radio Engineering

    The age limit for appearing the exam is 21 - 30 years
    The age relaxations given to the reserved caste is
    • OBC - 3 years
    • SC, ST - 5 years

    Number of times writing the exam are
    • OBC - 7 years
    • OC - 4 times
    • SC, ST - can write the exam till age permits

    My dear friend.

    IES stands for Indian Engineering Services.

    It is a very well reputed exam.

    The students who have completed their graduation in the following disciplines are eligible for IES:-

    --> Mechanical Engineering

    --> Electrical Engineering

    --> Civil Engineering

    --> Electronics & Communication Engineering

    As you have done your B.Tech in CSE then you are not eligible for IES.

    Apart from that the age requirement for IES is 21-30 years for general category.

    A relaxation of 5 years is there for SC/ST candidates.

    A relaxation of 3 years is provided for OBC students.

    The exam is conducted bu UPSC.

    UPSC stands for Union Public Service Commission.
