    I will provide you all the details of AFCAT.

    AFCAT - AIR FORCE COMMON ADMISSION TEST


    AFCAT is conducted twice an year; in the month of March and and in the month of August.

    Eligibility :

    Ground Duty Branch:
    20-27 years of age.
    PG or Bachelor degree in any subject with at least 60% aggregate marks.

    Flying Branch:
    minimum of 19 years of age and maximum of 23 years.
    You must have the B.E / B.Tech degree or a Graduate in any discipline with minimum 60% aggregate marks.

    Technical Branch:
    18-28 years of age
    Aeronautical Engineering with minimum 60% marks.

    AFCAT test consists of 100 questions to be answered in 2 hours. Each question carries 3 marks.

    The four test sections of AFCAT is as below:
    1.0 Test of General Awareness
    2.0 Test of English language.
    3.0 Test of Numerical Ability.
    4.0 Test of Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test.


    Pay and allowances after training period:

    During Training period, stipend of Rs. 21,000 would be given,
    After successful completion of the training, you would be commissioned as a Flying Officer with following approximate gross salaries:
    Flying Branch: Rs. 57,352
    Technical Branch: Rs. 48,602
    Ground Duty Branch: Rs. 46,102

    IN AFCAT DIFFERENT BRANCHES ARE THERE:



    1.Flying Branch:

    Eligibility for flying branch is,
    Age: you must be e. born between 02 January 1990 to 01 January 1994.

    Qualifications:
    In 10+2 you must be a MPC (Maths , Physics and Chemistry) with minimum of 60%.
    Graduates (Three year degree course) in any discipline from a recognised University you must have minimum 60% marks.

    2.Technical branch:

    Age: you must be Born between 02 January 1985 to 01 January 1995.

    Education must have minimum four years degree/B.Tech, with the 60% marks.

    3.Group Duty Branch:

    Age: you must be 02 Jan1990 to 01 Jan 1993 for graduate.
    for post graduate 02 Jan 1988 to 01 Jan 1993.


    Important dates:
    Application deadline - January 13, 2012
    Exam date - February 26, 2012


    Sylladus:

    Each Question Paper will have questions from the following topics:-

    1. General Awareness History, Sports, Geography, Environment, Civics, Basic Science, Defence, Art, Culture, Current Affairs, Politics etc.

    2. Verbal Ability in English Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence Completion, Synonyms, Antonyms and Testing of Vocabulary.

    3. Numerical Ability Decimal Fraction, Simplification, Average, Profit & loss, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion and Simple interest.

    4. Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability.

    AIR FORCE COMMON ADMISSION TEST (AFCAT)

    This examination is conducted by IAF.The examination is conducted once in a year to select students in different branches in Air force .The examination is held to recruit students to following post ::

    Flying Branch
    Ground Duty Branch
    Technical Branch

    Pattern of AFCAT examination :

    There will be total 100 questions of objective types and duration of examination is 2 hours
    Each question carry 3 marks.
    Total marks ::300

    This examination consists of four sections as below:

    General Awareness
    English language.
    Numerical Ability.
    Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test.

    You have to appear in PABT (Pilot Aptitude Battery Test) if you had opted for Flying branch and after that AFSB Interview

    You have to take Engineering Knowledge Test if you had opted for Technical branch and after that AFSB Interview

    After you clear all these obstacles, you have to undergo the Medical examination.

    Eligibility for the exam ::As the examination is done for all three branches so their eligibility criteria is also different .

    Ground Duty Branches

    Your age should be between 20-27
    You should have the PG or Bachelor degree in any subject with at least 60% aggregate
    marks.

    Flying Branch

    You should be between 19 to 23 years.
    You must must have the B.E / B.Tech degree or a Graduate in any discipline with minimum 60% aggregate marks and should have maths and physics as a compulsory subjects.

    Technical Branch

    You must be between 18-28 years of age
    You should have done your Engineering with minimum 60% marks.

    AFCAT Examination having Negative marking . So that you should have special care while answering the question . If your give wrong answers there will deduct -1 from your total mark .

    Air Force Common Admission Test. AFCAT is an Entrance test conducted for Selection of candidates in defence sector various branch of Indian Air force(Flying, ground, Technical).

    AFCAT exam conduct once time in a year .


    1.Ground Duty Branches Your age should be between 20-27 years .You should have the PG or Bachelor degree in any subject from recognized university .


    2.Flying Branch Your age should be minimum of 19 years and maximum of 23 years. You must have the B.E / B.Tech degree or a Graduate in any discipline from recognized university.


    3.Technical Branch For this, you should be of 18-28 years old and you should have done Aeronautical Engineering from recognized university .

    Hello

    All the candidates must be in the age of 19 - 23 years to apply for AFCAT exam
    The candidates must complete degree with atleast 60% marks to get posted in
    Ground Duty posts

    The candidates must complete B.Tech or B.Sc with atleast 55% or more marks to get posted in
    Technical branch
    Flying branch

    The post graduates upper age limit is 25 years
    The candidates done CA, ICWA, Ph.D, M.Ed are given maximum age limit of 27 years
    The candidates who have done LLB 3 years courses are given maximum age limit of 26 years

    Also the candidates must be healthy and medically fit to get trained in Airforce
