Re: Can anyone furnish the complete details regarding Chartered Accountancy course?

There are three courses in CA. These are foundation course, intermediate course and the final course. The candidates completing 12th can join the foundation course. For this they have to clear the CACPT exam. After clearing the foundation course one can join for the intermediate course. The graduates can apply directly for the intermediate course. There are two groups in this course. You have to clear both the course. You have to complete 25 days or 100 hours of training in information technology before joining the final course. In the final course also there are two groups. You have to obtain 40% marks individually in all the papers. After clearing the final course you can become a member of ICAI.

Re: Can anyone furnish the complete details regarding Chartered Accountancy course?

ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) is the body which is established by an act of parliament and this
body conducts examination relating to Chartered Accountancy course in our country. This profession not only provides
you with a satisfactory earning but also gets you social reputation in the society.
The exam is basically conducted in three stages which can be discussed as follows:
    1)CPT(Common Proficiency Test)-
This is the foundation level course. The exam consists of 200 objective type questions that are divided into four sections.
But you need only only 50 percent in the overall question paper to clear the exam. The four sections are as follows:
    Quantitative Aptitude
    Fundamentals of Accountancy
    Mercantile Law
    Economics
It has a negative marking scheme. And one fourth mark is deducted for each and every wrong question.

    2)IPCC(Integrated Professional Competence Course)-
This is the intermediate level, and you can register for this level with the institute as soon as the results of the previous
stage are declared. The exam consists of seven exams , that are divided into two groups. The first group consists
of 4 papers and the second group consists of 3 papers. The first group consists of four exams which are as follows:
    Taxation
    Accountancy
    Cost Accounting and Financial management
    Law

    The second group consists of:
    Audit
    Accountancy
    Information technology and
    Strategic management

    3)CA final exams-
This is the toughest stage of the whole course and a student needs to put extra efforts to clear the same.
There are two groups in the exam and you need to clear both in order to qualify the exam.
But before that you are required to pursue three years of article ship training under a chartered
accountant who is practicing in India. The sole purpose of having this provision of three years of article ship
training is that the student is able to learn the practical aspects of the course.
