Eligibility: Students of Class VIII studying in recognized schools are eligible to appear for the respective Class VIII Stage I examination conducted by the States/UTs in which the schools are located. There will be no domicile restriction.

CAN 12TH APPEARING STUDENTS FILL THE FORUM OF NTSE EXAM AND HOW

Hi friend ,

NTSE- NATIONAL TALENT SEARCH EXAMINATION was formed in 1985.from then till now many rules come and gone.It was only given to student studying in 10th class
But no of scholarship remains unchanged till 2000.it was changed to 1000 from 750 .However In 2007 the new major rule come into existent only student studying in
class 8th can give the examination.
NTSE examination paper format for class 8th : it is divided in to 2 parts MAT(Mental aptitude test) and SAT(scholity aptitude test) each consisting 90 questions.SAT cover all topics from Science, Social Science and Mathematics

followed by an INTERVIEW ROUND of qulified students .

No, 12th appearing students can't fill the form of NTSE Exam cause :
Eligibility criteria for NTSE Exam is student studying in 8th class from a recognized school.

NATIONAL TALENT SEARCH EXAM is held to search for the talents in INDIA and provide them the scholarships that they need and nurture their talent.National Talent Search Scheme is a flagship activity of the NCERT started in the year 1963.

It covers areas like Sciences, Social Sciences, Engineering, Medicine, Management and Law

The NCERT conducts the National Talent Search Examination for students studying in class VIII only.So In 12th class you cannot appear for the NTSE exam.

1. Scholarships: On the basis of the examination conducts, 1000 scholarships will be awarded for each group of students appearing for class-VIII examination. The amount of scholarship will be Rs 500/- per month.

2. Reservation: 15% scholarships will be reserved for students belonging to the SC category, 7.5% scholarships for students belonging to the ST category and 3% for Physically Challenged group of students

3. Selection: There will be two-stage selection process for award of scholarship.

For Stage-I-> selection will be done by states/UTs through a written examination.
For Stage-II->Students who qualify Stage I will be eligible to appear for Stage II examination conducted by NCERT

4. The States/UTs will also conduct the selection test for National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme along with the Stage-I written examination for NTS.


IMPORTANT DATES:

Stage I (state)

• Last date for submission of Application Form: 31st August, 2011
• Examination in Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Andaman and Nicobar Islands: 19th November, 2011 (Saturday)
• Examination in all other states and UTs: 20st November, 2011 (Sunday)

Stage II (National)

• Examination in all states and UTs: 13th May, 2012 (Sunday)

For the application form You may contact the State/UT Liaison officer for procuring application form. However, application form can be downloaded from NCERT website <http://www.ncert.nic.in> also.

I am sorry to say the 12th students are not eligible for NTSE exam.
NTSE stander ed for National talent search examination.
Eligibility criteria for NTSE is:
-Only VIII class students are eligible for NTSE exam.You have study VIII in any recognized university you are eligible for this exam.
In class VIII stage 1 exam can be conducted by the states/UTs in which schools are located.

Sorry to say you that a 12th class student cant appear for NTSE exam, to write the exam students of, Indian Nationality, studying in 8th standard or the respective class of the examination are eligible for taking the examination. They must have an aggregate of 60% or more in their qualifying examination.
So a 12th pursuing student cant attempt for National Talent Search Exam(NTSE)

Examination for students studying in class VIII only.

Examinationis conducted in two stages

stage 1

(a) Mental Ability Test (MAT)

(b) Scholastic Ability Test (SAT)
