M.Tech is the master level course for the students of engineering stream. M Tech admission to top colleges is done through a common all india entrance test called GATE.

The eligibility criteria for pursuing M.Tech one has to complete their M.sc or Btech and have a valid GATE Score. A Science graduate should get an M.sc 1st class and appear for GATE and also you need to remember there is no Lateral entry into M.Tech. Bsc students can write GATE, but preference given to Msc students and Btech students during admission.

As you have only completed your B Sc you are not eligible to do M.tech after completing your B.sc, so you should do your M.Sc. before applying for M.Tech. Also please try to get a good score for GATE exams to get admission in M.tech.

Congrats for getting a good score in GATE. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is conducted on an annual basis for admission to Post Graduation and PhD courses in Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). There are many other institutes which use this test for admission purposes. Candidates holding a degree in any of the course mentioned below can apply for admission in any of the institutes along with GATE score.
• Any candidate holding a degree in architecture, technology and engineering.
• Candidates holding a masters degree in Computer/ Science/ Statistics/ Mathematics.
• Bachelors in Electronics and Bachelors in Technology
The validity of the test is for two years. Since you have just joined for Master in Science it will take another two years for you to complete the course. So unfortunately you cannot use this score when you apply for admission in IIT or any other institute. You will need to take the test again. Do not be put down with this. You can still try to get a higher score than this in your next test.

first of all i congratulate for getting a good score in the GATE exam ,but it is really meaningless , because soon after bsc you can do nothing with this marks , usually the GATE exams are conducted for the students of Msc Btec for their further studies .so you may please do your MSc and then try to get a good score in GATE exam ,that will help you to get a an admission for your further studies

I am sory to inform you that you can not go for Mtech proggramme with Bsc biotech through GATE exam for this exam you should have minimum BE/Btech background.You have one option that you can complete you Msc and then apply for Mtech programme but no doubt it will be a Longer process.!!! choice will be yours .!!!

For GATE,you must have BE/B.Tech degree.As you have done B.Sc,you are not eligible.
But you can apply after you complete your M.Sc.

Sorry No Importance of your Gate score card. You should try GATE during your MSc pre-final year or final year as GATE score card is valid for two years.
