So ECE , CSE and IT branch students are getting high package. In the coming future , the demand of software engineers will increase. After recession jobs in software companies has increased and this will continue for the long time. So in order to get high package you must choose among CSE , IT or ECE. If you want to take IT branch through IIT-JEE, then it is very good for your future. IITs are the best engineering institutes in India and their placements for CSE and IT students are always best.

Every branch has its own demand and future if you are talented and worthy person for the job you selected.
Some of the streams in Engineering which are having high demand at present are:-
Computer Science and Engineering
Electronics and Communication Engineering
Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Civil Engineering
Information Technology
Chemical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering etc..,So,in all these branches select a branch in which you are more interested.If you take CSE or IT you can get a job in MNC's with nice salaries if you are good in programming,good communication skills.You have options for several government jobs also like DRDO,IES etc..,If you are really interested at software field then it will be very easy and you can even enjoy the job in s/w field otherwise it will become hectic for you and your future.
So,don't get confuse and spoil your brain and future by taking wrong decision like-selecting a branch which you are not interested.

Today IT sector of India is very much opened for jibs. So ECE , CSE and IT branch students are getting high package. In future , the demand of software engineers will increase. After recession jobs in software companies has increased and this will continue for the long time. So in order to get high package you must choose among CSE , IT or ECE. If you want to take IT branch through IIT-JEE, then it is very good for your future. IITs are the best engineering institutes in India and their placements for CSE and IT students are always best.

It is best not to go after the pay package as the better paying streams are very difficult to major in.So concentrate on the academics rather than the pay.
