Re: Which book is good to refer for the Bank Probationary Officer exam?

Any candidate planning to appear for the probationary officer exam needs to be very meticulous. Be it private sector banks or public sector the pattern of the tests are similar. There is negative marking for these exams. The exam will have questions in areas like verbal, quantitative method, logical reasoning, general knowledge. The order will vary but the main areas will not change. Some banks also have an essay test. You can prepare for these tests together. Solve as many papers as possible. Its better to avoid answering a question the answer for which you are not sure. Speed and accuracy are very important.
There are many books available in market. Some authors specialise in one specific area and some in all areas. Like R.S. Agarwal book has separate books related to quantitative analysis, English. Sura publishers have a book in the reasoning area. There are other popular books written by authors like R. Gupta, Upkar etc.

For bank selection process, three steps are there. They are aptitude test, group discussion and interview. For aptitude consists of quantative, verbal and non verbal ability, reasoning. For that you prepare with R.S.AGARWAL APTITUDE BOOKS, BRAIN TEASERS, SAKUNTHALA DEVI PUZZLES BOOKS, MOTIVATION BOOKS, group discussion books. For gd you prepare with current affairs and usual topics in finger tips. Then interview , that depends on your attitude, communication skills. All the best
