BIT Mesra MCA Entrance Test

Birla Institute of Technology carries out an MCA entrance test for the candidates who are interested in doing an MCA from BIT, Mesra. The test is carried out at the beginning of each academic year for the selection of candidates in to the MCA course offered by the institution. The test is conducted as an online exam. Those who pass the entrance test are called for the further selection procedures carried out by the institution.

Syllabus and Pattern of BIT Mesra MCA Entrance Test

The time duration of the online entrance test is 2 hours. There will be 120 questions of multiple-choice type. 4 marks are awarded for each right answer. 1 mark is reduced for each wrong answer. The question paper covers topics mentioned below.

• Mathematics
• Analytical Ability
• Logical Reasoning
• Computer Awareness

There will be 70 questions from Mathematics, 30 questions from Analytical ability & Logical Reasoning and 20 questions from the area of Computer Awareness.

Eligibility required for BIT Mesra MCA Entrance Test

Those who have completed graduation from any of the reputed institutions are eligible to apply for the exam. The graduation must be obtained from any of the areas of BCA, or B.Sc. in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics, or B.Sc. / B.A. in Mathematics or Statistics. The candidate should possess minimum 60% marks in the qualifying exam to appear for the examination. Those who are pursuing the final year of graduation are also eligible for the same.

Application Procedure of BIT Mesra MCA Entrance Test

The application form for the MCA entrance test can be obtained from the official website of BIT or from their office. It can also be obtained from the extension centers of BIT. The candidate has to pay a specific amount of application fee for collecting the form. Filled applications must be submitted to the institution before final date.
